@@margaguillenThank you! this is small size , you can do it in any size you want . the only thing you need to do is measuring the burst size and the waistline.
I did 15 sc for small size , the first FP stitch ( 4rth) is same for all sizes, but the second fp stitch (16th) must be placeced on the center (nipple) point. So you can decide the number of stitches by measuring from the center of your chest to your nipple. I hope it helps you!
i have a question, when we have to keep repeating a process until we reach the waist length is it just skipping the previous FP or it’s the process of doing a row of new FP and the next row skipping the previous FP
you will work decreasingly (skip) until you reach your under bust measurement , after that you will keep working without decreasing (skipping) until you get the length you wanted
this an absolutely stunning top😍please advise which yarn did you use for this project? trying to find a suitable substitute but we do not have ply specified for yarns in my country
I want to know how to adapt the points to a larger size. That is, if on the third round, you make 3 single crochets and a double crochet, then 15 single crochets, leave one and make a double crochet. How many single stitches do I have to make for a larger size? thanks!!!
am i missing something? i did everything but on one side it’s the same st length but for the other it gets bigger. it is shrinking in size but the actual look on the sides is getting wider?
Maybe you missed decreasing from one side, if this is not clear you can check the other tutorial I made in green. The design is the same, just different colors.
Girl I bet you the prettiest being ever! Don’t let anyone or anything get in your way. God knew what He was doing when He made a masterpiece like you!!🫶🏼
The first FP stitches on each side are placed in the same place, the second FP stitches start parallel to the center of the breast. I hope this will help !
First measure round your bust and your waist then reduce 2 inchs from each . To decide the place where to put the FP stitches measure the distance from nipple to nipple then divided in to 2 ( if n-to-n= 6 then 6/2 = 3) that meance you will place the FP stitches in 3 inch gaps . You will work decreasing until you reach your waist measurement. Once you grt your waist size then you will continue working without decrease until you reach the length you want. I hope this helps you!
First , measure your bust line and your waist, then start by making a chain of your bust measurement and continue working decreasing until you get your waist measurement.
@@AlemK_C hello, thanks for answering! What will happen in row 7? 3ch, 1FP, and then how many SC after that? Is it still 14? Or it decreased in each rows?
Hi there (: Can I make this top using a worsted weight yarn with 5mm crochet hook? I assume it will turn out larger because I am using a larger yarn and hook size. Is there a way I can still do the pattern to size? Thank you!
Yes you can , but the number of stitches varies based on the weight of the yarn and the hook size . the gauge I used when I'm making this top is 22 sc = 10 cm / 4 inchs using 3mm hook .
Ok, thanks! I am the same exact measurements as your mannequin. So if I were to use your pattern, I would do everything the same except I would put my fp double crochet in a different stitch than listed, correct? Because my stitches will be larger I will need the fp ribbing to be in different stitches?
@@AlemK_C I can't wait to show you! Two more questions- It looks like you skip 4 stitches each row- 4 out out of the 6 fp we skip a stitch before placing the fp in order to decrease so that the garment decreases from bust to waist size. Since I am using a larger hook and yarn, will I need to decrease differently so that it doesn't take too many rows to reach my waist measurement? Also, for the fp, we count 3 single crochet in, place a fp in the 4th chain post from row 1, and for the other 2 fp we skip a stitch and then place in the 17th post. I have just finished this part, and now I am going to mark my stitch markers for the other side. I count in 3 stitches, mark the 4th sc post in 1st row, count 15 in, skip 16th, place marker in 17th post, count 15 again, skip 16th, and place stitch marker in 17th post. Is that correct? Thank you so much for helping me. I have not yet tried a big crochet project like this and I just want to make sure I am understanding (: Thank you
@@sierradavies4658 since you are using a different yarn weight and hook size you need to modify the placement of FP stitches. The gauge I used is for 3 mm hook , so you need to calculate the gauge . To calculate the gauge first make a chain and do 10cm long single crochets then count the number of stitches . in my case 22sc =10 cm Then based on your body measurement you will decide the FP stitches placement Asaume If your gauge is 20sc =10cm /4 in then you will place the FP stitches on the 4th st, count 15 and place in 15th , again count and place in the next 15th stitch and so on.... The process you described is all correct the only difference is the number of stitches. Again if you have difficulty pls let me know . I hope this will help....
Yes you can , the only thing is that when you use thicker yarn the number of stitches will decrease. You can decide the stitches based on your measurmet.
how long would you say this would take an intermediate crocheter? i have a festival to go to this saturday and really want to make this😭 but only have about 12 hours of free time in the next 2 days. would i be able to finish it in time?
If you already understand the pattern you can finish the Small size in time , depending on your speed you may able to finish size M , but L take more time . I hope you can do it !
When we do the single crochet from the wrong side (inside) we decrease/skip the 4 diagonal fp stitches. Remember: we do not skip the fp stitches at the beginning.
The cool thing is, when you make it yourself you can do the strap placement. There are a lot of bras that have a front closure down low or deep v bras so you would just need to make sure that part is pulled tighter, or wear a tank. Bralette etc under it for a peekaboo coordination with your bottom. White corset top, pink under and a pink skirt. Because you get to choose strap placement you will never have those strap malfunctions. 😊
