Everyone mentioning Okayu not liking her singing voice, the argument about what you hear when you sing is a lazy one as she would know how she sounds outside her own head as soon as she listened to a playback. What's more likely to be the case is she is probably comparing her voice to that of the more mainstream female idols and noticing that she doesn't sound like that. Perception of what is accepted/mainstream plays a big part in skewing our own self worth. Her voice isn't your typical high pitched, cutesy girly type and she doesn't really seem that comfortable with projecting herself loudly. She probably sees these as negative traits to her role as an "idol" Thing is, her voice being lower/softer is also soothing. It's got a calm and mellow quality that your mainstream types just don't have. Instead of trying to tell her her perception is wrong and she needs to change that idea, encourage her with praise and support. Being borderline a public figure, she's bound to get plenty of negative/combative comments/criticisms, even likely from her own psyche. Let her vent those, but reinforce the positive points. If she's ready to move on from that part of her psyche, that's when you should step in and help her enact those changes she wants to make
I feel like wanting to protect idols with high pitched voices but when hearing Okayu or Towa's deep voices it feels like they are the one that would protect me.
She's definitely one of my favorite Hololive members for a reason and it largely started due to her voice so I'm glad there are so many other people who think so highly of it.

Okayu's singing is soothing. It calms down your soul with just a single listen. You'll have these weird nostalgic moments you never knew you had. You'll start to think of situations that fit with this song. Oh how I wish I could listen to this forever, I would probably forget about this at some point in my life and if I remember this, I'll never forget about it ever again
Everything about Okayu is calm. I would kill to have more people like that in my life, they’re just nice to be around, to build friendships with, to talk about random things to, and to just overall feel calm. Okayus voice and personality are perfect for a good friend.

i was honestly surprised when i first heard back then that okayu didn't like her voice because the sole reason i fell in love with her as an idol was because of her voice. her voice was the goldilocks-tone for me, not too high and not too low for my tastes. the moment i heard her voice, i instantly knew i wanted to stan her above the rest.
Exactly the same here. She doesn’t have those high pitched peaks that hurt your ears, nor is she so low that you strain you ears to hear. She’s just always easy to listen to!

I think I realized something. Okayu has a chill voice and personality. She says she doesn't have a nice voice, but for us her voice is godlike. Looking at the little arts shown in the MV, I think I know what she may be representing. You know those people who are chill and always upbeat? i was honestly surprised when i first heard back then that okayu didn't like her voice because the sole reason i fell in love with her as an idol was because of her voice. her voice was the goldilocks-tone for me, not too high and not too low for my tastes. the moment i heard her voice, i instantly knew i wanted to stan her above the rest.
