I saw this at Aero this year, really beautiful aircraft, and I think the turbine engine has a lot of potential. Good HP and surprisingly low fuel burn. I'd like to put one in my RV-8 when it gets up to about 180HP. Jet-A is available everywhere, avgas is getting harder to find in a lot of airports, unfortunately.
The VL-3 is a Rotax powered turbo charged engine not a turbine. The Evolution Turbine is a different larger aircraft they sell using a P&W PT6-135A not sure how you would fit a P&W PT6 in a RV-8

Second, the Turbo Tech turbine is marketed as a diesel option for people in countries with little 100LL access or quality mo gas. And third, your IO360 might perform better in a straight line, but the turbine will out climb you in any DA and environment, and it only burns 5-6GPH of Jet A.

The current owner of JMB bought Aveko years back when they were failing, turned it around, and rebranded it to JMB VL3.

If you can't tell the difference between a flat 4 turbocharged piston engine and a turbine, I can't help you.

One with a Rotax and one with a turbine. Their website hasn't been updated yet.
