Miya was so unbelievably good in this P TIER TOURNAMENT WITHOUT LOSING ONE GAME until winners final he met acola, the 1st player ranked. Yet he still won even it’s acola. It’s just soooooo crazy I’m not sure anyone in the history has done so amazingly like this. ❤❤❤Love and congrats to Miya🎉🎉🎉

    • @ninjaoflight908
      @ninjaoflight908 8 місяців тому +20

      Sparg0's gameplan is relatively simple:
      1. Pressure and outspace acola's slow, mediocre-range Steve.
      2. Force him into disadvantage.
      3. Keep him there.
And it works, because 1. Sparg0's spacing is 2nd only to Leo, and 2. His advantage state with Cloud is the best in the world.

Nobody needs to get good results with steve to say steve is broken, if his kit, tech and framedata is just the best of the game by a REALLY WIDE MARGIN, its brokeness is obvious And most players dont play with steve because they dont want to pick it, not because they cant, these are the main reasons: steve released in one of the last dlcs, meaning most players already had established mains, some people dont want to play with busted characters because of their standards (also happened a lot with smash 4 bayo) and also because he doesnt play the same game as the other characters, old players would have to relearn how to play smash, because steve plays his own game to the point the point where even some fundamentals change a lot and some dont have the patience to go through this whole process of learning again
And, even considering this, steve has BY FAR, the best results and placements in the games competitive scene, if you removed acola steve would be the number 2 character in terms of results, while if sonic, the number 2 character in terms of results, had its number 1 player removed from tournaments, it would drop something like 10 places in the ranking, thats how insane steve results are when compared to other characters, and that is considering steve players arent that common for the reasons i listed
Id say that its a matter of time till we see a lot of other steves popping up and running rampage across the top competitive scene

I want to ask one of the toughest questions where are the female announcers. It just hit me every time I hear a finals a grand finals tournament being called it’s always guys where are the ladies or do women not play smash. I’m just thinking out loud here. I’m a guy wondering why don’t we have more females, announcing these shows.

I guess now people are gonna say G&W counters steve super hard and how G&W is a top 2 character. See, this is what people needs to do, just study the Steve match up and pressure him, but no, instead "StEVe IS wAY ToO StRoNg. He Is UnBeAtAbLe"

G&W kit is crucial for the matchup. bucket for reflect. Up B to pop steve out of cart. Air juggling when steve doesn't have much air movement. StEVe IS wAY ToO StRoNg - G&W just has some good tools to step to it

TL;DR: One tournament means nothing and doesn't change Steve as a character.
      .
      .
      .
      .
      .
Yeah because this changes the fact that Acola could still dominate the next 20 majors and that only one player is able to do this every now and again barring sparg0 who obviously doesn't have the chance to play Acola as much. It also changes nothing about how much acola actually gets away with, by using steve. The misinputs, the sheer amount of smash attacks, the pressure he can exert and even for this game's standards: Mashing. Miya won against Acola CONVINCINGLY and it still felt like he just survived a sinking ship at the end of a game 4 GF. Of course, you could attribute that to winning such a stacked tourney but there's no doubt Steve, let alone the number one Steve, just stacks so much pressure against you by just sheer merit of the character. One missed input means EVERYTHING against this character- it's just that Acola is able to show that better than anyone else despite there being a small uprise of prominent Steves prior to Acola.
