I love the way Marketa beams when Travis talks to her first. It's such a small thing and means so much. Most people aren't concious when they fall into the trap of addressing the guys first and giving them more attention. It doesn't take much to change the order of things and make women feel that they aren't second-class citizens. Well done, Travis! I smiled along with her. That was the highlight here for me. She has a glorious smile. I love these two. Great interview.
Pffff feminist everywhere. Travis didn't mean that. It's bevause Glen is the main character, not marketa. It's about Glen's life in the movie. If we were to replace those two with say Meryl Steep and Julia Roberts, would you feel the same way as you did for Marketa to Julia ? feminist always makes drama of everything
The movie is loosely based on Glen's busking life, Glen wrote the songs, Glen's friend made the movie, Glen was in "The Frames" making records, Glen had been a performing musician for years and years, Glen suggested a teenager who knew a little piano and had the right accent. But I'm sure Travis didn't address her first simply because she was a woman. Wow.
I apologize in advance. It's not too often I get this worked up over grammatical or spelling errors, but... Why do so many of the commenters for this video continually insist on calling the interviewer *Travis* Smiley? His name is *Tavis* Smiley, without the "r". Thank you. :-)
Marketa is just so interesting to me, her calmness, her simplicity and her presence and voice projects that and inspire me in so many ways 😍

@@cc4046 Glen wasn't half as successful before she collaborated with him, as he points out himself. Marketa co-wrote the song they won the Oscar for..
The “ONCE” film is a most to watch,,,enjoy it 👍

I agree, he's enthusiastic and conscious.
Worth a thousand more oscars transcend time love love love !!
Amazing Team
hysterical when Tavis said he would be a "fill-in" for Denzel. There is NO replacing Denzel. Impossible.
Good point Eik!
Glen how could you go on the simpsons with a holy guitar 🤣🇮🇪💙
I thought I heard butter sizzling in the background of Paper Cup!
Just Kidding ; )
