Thanks for taking up the topic of Vedic yoga which seems to be less known and less studied in the West. Even though I have been reading East-West spiritual and metaphysical books for a long time, I have hardly touched on this topic, except for reading a few Upanishads. To date, I have still not read any works even of Sri Aurobindo. If I have had any impression of Vedic-era yoga at all, it has been in the context of (1) references in the Puranas, (2) references to Shakyamuni Buddha’s early sadhana, (3) transmitted heritage of Patanjali, (4) impressions gathered from explanations of Kapila's Sankhya. ...So nearly clueless what Angiras and Brighu might have been practicing.
