Sub $600 is amazing so far this year. I'm sure the kilobucks will have some special sauce still, but i think this is where it's at from a performance/value perspective. And the Da Vinci will likely be the market breaker if they performs as well as the early impressions make them out to be. Mega5-EST, Hype 4, this Elysian, Dusk, etc. Let's gooooo
Iem with low mid bass are perfect for medium volumes. Once they cross my loud concert volumes. They sound thin. So for me. I need mid bass and taimed treble and upper mids
If we are talking about above mid-fi, upgrading from the Studio 4, which IEM do you consider as the endgame path? Likewise, which IEM would you consider as the endgame upgrade path if coming from the Pilgrim?
Oh, sweet you got your hands on a Pilgrim. I managed to demo them at Canjam SG and I pretty much have the same comments as you did; The tuning was very Elysian but the technicalities, for me at least, leaves a lot to be desired, especially at this competitive price point.
The Pilgrim, along with the Performer 8, Dunu DaVinci, and Moondrop DUSK, were on my top demo priorities during the event, and I ultimately settle with the DaVinci with its uber meaty bass response and fantastic mid-range which is actually reminiscent of the Binary x Gizaudio Chopin. The Performer 8 came in 2nd with its really relaxing but still very musical presentation, while the Pilgrim tied with the DUSK.
I hope you'll get your hands on a DUSK because I would love to hear your thoughts. I personally am really torn on them due to the DSP Cable situation; using the analog cable it's not much different than the Blessing 3 its "based on" but using the DSP cable, while superbly natural, does come across really boring.

Hi Dave which one have the best Sub Bass or something else that you can recommend , oriveti oh700vb , i worry other sets dose not have the P8 natural tone give me , Studio 4 is not for me , l like bass specially Sub Bass .
Great review. Positive. Perhaps a little too much so. I thought bass was a bit slow, there was some bass bleed and congestion into the low mids and mids not so natural. Maybe I need to revisit the pilgrim.
