Your initial description of Dr. Swami is incomplete:
Dr Swami broke the record of completing his PHD thesis from Harvard in shortest time. After that he started teaching there as an assistant professor. One day an Arabic student asked him :
'..that Islamic religion took over Iraq, Iran, Egypt etc countries Christianity took over Europe, America etc ib very short time 10-50 years. But after 1000 years of oppression why India is still a Hindu country..' . According to Dr. Swami this question got him thinking and then he started doing research and found out how India's identity is being misinterpreted by external forces to suppress India. At that time Amartya Sen invited him to come to India to teach at Delhi University. You know that he was teaching and doing research at Harvard with Simon Kuznets who later got Nobel prize (According to Dr Swami had he stayed there he would have gotten Nobel too.) But being a true patriot he accepted the offer and came to India. But after coming to India Amartya Sen and Indira Gandhi blocked his appointment to DU. After that he got a job at IIT Delhi. But after learning Dr. Swami's advice on India's economy Indira Gandhi sacked him. Then he tried to apply for a job in Dibrugarh University but Indira Gandhi blocked him there too. At that time Dr Swami had 2 very little kids and he was lost. That is when RSS learned about him and took him in. And this is how Dr. Swami came into politics.
Some other interesting facts:
1) Dr Swami single handedly stopped the destruction of Pamban bridge (Ram Setu)
2) Dr Swami single handedly prevented Sonia Gandhi from being PM in 2004. Because she is not Indian.
3) Recently after 40 yrs of case IIT Delhi admitted their mistake and returned Dr. Swamy a huge amount of money.
4) P Chidambaram and Sashi Tharor are the latest victim of Dr Swami. P Chidambaram is facing corruption charges of huge amount of money and Sashi Tharor is facing marder charges of Sunanda Puskar.
P.S: All these information is taken from Dr Swami's own speech and available in UA-cam and internet.
