Nice trip report! I subscribed. It’s so weird seeing Rouge fly a route like this, in the past, Rouge always seemed to fly to major tourist destinations
I think Air Canada used Rouge to supplement their domestic flight capacity when there was a severe regional pilot shortage (the kind of pilots who fly The Dash 8 from Toronto to Thunder Bay and vice-versa). From what I read in the Air Canada Flight timetable, Rouge will no longer be flying this route after April 2024.
I flew with Air Canada Rouge on a A319 from Thunder Bay to Toronto with a connection to Ottawa back in November when I went to Ottawa to visit my sister, but my return flight between Toronto/Thunder Bay was with Air Canada Express Q400 for whatever reason. Nice! Yeah this is really good trip. The reason I flew to Thunder Bay just to look around since I love travelling by planes. I am not originally from Ottawa but I go to school in Ottawa. I live near to Toronto as my original homes. Yeah sometimes, they bring Air Canada Rouge plane, A319, A320, and A321 to Thunder Bay as I took A321 to Thunder Bay and A319 from Thunder Bay back to Toronto, was supposed to take A320 but downgrade to A319 which is not a big deal. Sometimes they use Air Canada Express, CRJ900 or Q400 or CRJ 200. Maybe seasonal flight for sure. This was my first time in Thunder Bay but one of my friend lived there. Back last year between May and October, Air Canada had to use AC Express Q400 service between Thunder Bay and Toronto because of runway work on the main runway and Air Canada Rouge jets and Air Canada Express regional jets couldn't land on the secondary runway safely while work was being done on the main runway during that time. I plan on having another flight video in March with Porter Airlines since I'm flying to Downtown Toronto in March to visit my aunt.
That’s very true. They don’t want to overrun if things happens for sure. Safety is important. Just making sure the length of the runway is more suitable to the specific aircraft. And hope you will like Porter Airlines Q400. Never been there but I heard they have a great service there. Subscribe your channel. Keep it up.
