I've learned in life that that if they cared about what they did then they would reach out and ask what the problem is. Another reason I cut off, become detached and get cold is because I don't care enough about explaining myself to them why I cut them off. You get tired of explaining things and just know to let people be people and set your boundaries and you don't have to give no explanation. I cut off family and old friends because I wasn't getting the same support from them as I was giving them and so I said naw I'm good. I get more done alone than relying on them. Also I've realized people don't like taking accountability and when I tell them what they did they don't ever acknowledge what they did that wronged me. Just stay away
I don't blame you for not wanting a conversation with someone thats just going to lie/manipulate again. Yes self love is the key to healing. Everyone is different on what they need to achieve this but if your actively working on yourself you'll start to know what works and what doesn't
