The Carbon Tax also provides a net benefit for most, meaning the CT portion is subsidized.
@@McLovin1759 The net benefit is lost when everything is factored in, people cant look at it as a flat percentage and not take into account the trickle down effect. The total cost is much higher. Liberals refuse to acknowledge this but it's plain as day.
The last time I want to see Trudeau, is when he is walking away from our government, because he was voted out in the upcoming election. He has done so much damage, it’s going to take years to dig us out of this.

@@Sam19509 These complexities add as much as 15 cents per gallon to the cost to produce these higher-grade fuels. How much did a litre jump again exactly? 14 cents so 60 cents a gallon. The math isn't working out.

Back in time the price of gas never went up or down because of the time of season 🤷🏼♂️
It always went up a little bit in summer due to increased fuel use from travel and summer blend fuel costs a little bit more to produce (roughly 4c a litre). The prices never jumped like they do now though unless something happened that cut supply or oil prices went out of control.

The oil companies stated that it's the change-over to summer fuel....i didn't see the tankers at the gas station putting summer gas in the tanks..nor did i see any change in the same gas as the owner says it was the SAME gas he had yesterday...BTW: In chicago and philly....and NYC.....there's no such BS as winterized gas and summer gas......ask any american and they will tell you the same.....IT'S all a big fackin scam.....and the feds allow it to continue...remember that when you VOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You forgot that when the oil price goes down they say it takes 3 months for it to work down to the pump price, but when oil price goes up, the fuel price rises the next day.
Government doesn't care about price gouging because they do it too. Companys can charge any amount they want and Government can tax any amount they want.

Just received my Enbridge natural gas bill. 26.6% of the total paid was Carbon Tax. (Fed Carb Charge + HST on FCC).
I'm sorry Ontario...I love ya...but as of today Newfoundland west coast is paying 195.9 for it's gas.

Canada is in fact number 2 in Oil Reserves with equivalents in both natural gas and coal as well. Only Venezuela has more available oil. That we don't spur production of sufficient quantity to ensure affordable, let alone cheap fuel is a political choice made in Southern BC, Southern Ontario and Quebec.

@@tonys2957 Most large oil deposits are in sand. The tech to extract it is advancing always, and emissions also go down each year. An added plus is that there are over 6000 products that can be made from a barrel of that oil.

Rising gas prices may force some businesses to re-evaluate their hiring plans, holding off because they are uncertain about the economy's health. Less discretionary spending results in decreased sales, both of which can influence a company's ability to hire, so people also lose their jobs.. yep nothing to see here.
