Hello ma'am :) Your videos helps us a lot. Thank you. I want to ask that have you also done your MDS from india before settling down in UK or you have done BDS? Because I read somewhere that even if we clear our ORE exam they still prefer dentists with more clinical experience for jobs and with higher degrees like MDS. Is that so? Also if we add more courses to our credits like that of implant and Ortho courses without doing PG in India will it increase our chances of getting a job there after GDC registration? Please reply ma'am.
Any of the above you do will look good on your CV and give you an edge. Also will help you perform better at your job. I had done my MDS in India before coming to UK.
Hello, Dr Amrutha. I had a slight doubt. Once I clear ore part 2, can I directly apply for a clinical based masters programme or do I have to do the PLVE and only then can I apply?
I just need more information about 1600 working experience I completed my graduation before 1 year and I was doing private practice then how can I be eligible under this criteria
Thanks for this video, I just need more information about plve after you finish ore how do you apply for plve? Is it nationwide distribution in the UK or I can choose to take it in the same town where I live ? And can I take it as part time or it must be full time work? And what is the salary please? Last question please I have almost 10 years gap in my cv do you think I can still be accepted for plve program or that will make my application rejected? Thanks alot really appreciate it
About the 10 year gap.. First you need to obtain a position in a practice which is eligible for PLVE. Once you have a position, the deanery will assess you with a test before you start the program. This is usually conducted for anyone who has a gap of more than 2 years. The tough part would be with the recruiters to get a position. Any contacts where you intend to work would be useful in your case. I'll answer the rest of the questions later.
@@Dentalpractice101 if you please do you know if this test is similar to ore part 2 or is it different? If you know any criteria for this test Thanks alot really appreciate it
Hi doctor . I’m doing my internship in Chennai , tamilnadu . What is the pass mark for ORE exam ? Will I be able to get tier 2 visa after I clear ORE and register in GDC ? And how many months / years it took for you to get PLVE program? Opportunities for private sector ? Should I take up PLVE for working in private sector ?
I do not know much about any hygienist exam. If you are qualified as a dentist from other country you can work as a hygienist in the UK until you have cleared your ORE/ LDS exams
@@Dentalpractice101 Hi, there..thats a very interesting question. I would like to share that you would have to be GDC registered before touching the patient in UK (so you can not work as a hygienist till the time your are not GDC registered). You can work as a dental nurse. This is from my own experience !
Thanks for making this informative video inspite of your running nose.
Thank you. As always it was very helpful.
So ma'am direct bitter truth being said, if I want to come to UK to work as a dentist, then I shouldn't cause The UK doesn't need any more dentists
hello ...can I ask about plve southwest ? why do they all require such a long list of requirments ?

I don't think you need PLVE. But, it is always good to have completed it as it gives you an edge over the others
