I'm really not often changing tires (the last ones were mounted several years) and was pretty afraid because of everyones horrorstories about these rubbers. Had no alcohol, talcum or one of those fancy latex tubes, but with your instructions and careful use of a plastic tire lever it took max. 10 min per tire. Thank you so much.
Have just installed two strada Bianca pro 36mm pps2 TLR on zipps 303s. However, supported myself with tire lever a little at the end. All went flawlessly, took me max 10min per tire and did those first time ever. Thanks man! 🙂
I had a very hard time fitting the Challenge Strada Open Pro (road racing) on to my Campagnolo Zonda's. I mounted them without the inner tube first, just to get them a little bit more forgiving. It was still difficult, but after seeing your video things went better. The powder made the difference, and it is good to know that it also helps the inner tube not to stick to the tire itself. Thanks man!
I got one on rolling. Had to use the tire lever for the front wheel. Put a hole in a $21.00 CAD latex tube. Hand strength is not my thing but it can work rolling if you have the means.
Been struggling with a Strade Biance 30mm and latex tubes. Not possible to pop in the ¨big¨ latex tube. There is nog enough room for it. I think it´s the combination narrow rim, narrow new tire and a wide latex tube. I read the tip where fittying it with normal tubes first to form the outer tire, maybe it works. Don´t hope to get a flat in the nearby future :) :) Any more tips?
Great tutorial but if you still struggle USE GLOVES. For me it was impossible to roll the last part of the 2nd bead onto the rim. With gloves ... piece of cake!
Although tubeless tech has come on a bit since I posted this the main reasons are feel, grip (due to low pressures) and the ability to run really low pressure without the risk of the tyre burping air. 18-20psi can cause tubeless setups to burp air and roll off the rim especially on off camber terrain.
Literally the best video I ever found on the internet. Saved me from pinching my 4th tube.
Thanks! After struggling hopelessly for a half hour, went to the Internet, found this vid, and was done in 5 min!
My wheels were about to go through the window out of frustration but this video made the process pretty painless. Thank you!

thank you so much for this video.. this should be first up when searching how to mount these tires.. saved so much time and agony!
Best tips ever! Amazing tyre, amazingly frustrating too!
Alchohol cleaner at the end is a game-changer as is the talcum powder. The last bit of tire to go on is a huge deal with challenge tires.

Rolling technique is AMAZING!
Thank you for your suggestiona, it work ed very well, even without hand gel! 👍🏻 BZ
Fantastic, thanks for a great tutorial. Just what I needed!
Absolutely epic video, thank you so much for posting this!
Mounted with normal tubes today... will let them sit for two days and then i’ll fit in the latex tubes. makes it easier on tight rims!
Fantastic video Iv got a set on order n heard the horror stories about fitting them
I like lead tire mounting paste from an auto parts store! works great!
Do you suffer a lot op pinch flats with the low pressure?
i would like to see you to do the same thing with a wheel instead of a rim with out spokes (-:
Process and technique are exactly the same ;-)

You forgot to spoke the wheel!
My tubes end up getting caught beneath the bead. Would the talc stop that?
great video ! But how you get them back off the wheels?
You need strong thumbs and a nylon tyre lever. They stretch quite a bit once they have been ridden a bit.
thanks for making this vid! can you really run these at 20psi? I’ve been too nervous to go below 28psi.
Yep 18psi is easily achievable depending on rider weight and hashiness
Looks like a hassle, how you meant to do them with your palms with spokes in the way

The latex tube ate up all the pixels.

Why tubes and not running tubeless?
