- Goodland tight end Linkon Cure announced his commitment on Kansas State on Monday, July 1, 2024. The five-star will join Chris Klieman, Avery Johnson and more for the 2025 season.

I had to chuckle about you being from "out in the middle of nowhere," as I grew up in Atwood, Kansas, and had relatives living in Goodland and Sherman County. My dad also went to high school in Goodland long ago. A friend of mine once said that you can't get snowed in out in Atwood, because there is nothing here to get snowed in to, so you are actually snowed out, so it was the same idea as "out in the middle of nowhere" and we both laughed about it. However, I think NW Kansas is a great place to live, and might still be there if things were different for me. Anyway, your short talk was excellent, a very mature and wise statement, never give up your following the Lord.
Goodland is a metropolis compared to the rest of the towns in that area

@@dingerboi4 Goodland and Colby are about the same size, with Colby being somewhat bigger, as they were when I lived in Atwood. The other county seats in the area are from 1/6th to about 1/2 the size of Goodland, but Burlington, Colorado is almost 3/4th the size of Goodland. However, the smaller towns in the general area are much smaller, as a rule, than are the county seats.

As a KU fan I knew he was going to K-State when I saw the hats. That is not a usual K-State powercat hat. The KU and A&M hats were bland…plus I knew the kid grew up a KSU/Oregon fan.
