This is the most I've ever heard Guy talk haha. I reckon he should do a podcast.
I know Im randomly asking but does someone know a trick to get back into an instagram account?
I somehow lost my password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me!
@Alvaro Kaison Instablaster =)
What a totally charming and modest guy, love it.
Guy Berryman is an incredibly reflective & insightful person.
Smart too.
Engineering major takes a special kind of person.
20:00 - 37:00 coldplay's history
I was hoping you would make this video.
Love your content especially when you're filming with Guy.
Hope next one is with the whole band ♥️.
Thank you for this interview with Guy Berryman 🙌🏼👏🏼😍 So nice to hear what he’s passionate about and getting some updated on what’s new with the Band
My grandfather was an engineer on the Spitfires and Hurricanes stationed in Malta during WWII, at the height of it's strategic importance. Under attack 3 times DAILY for three years from Nazi and Fascist bombing raids, he and his team were responsible for keeping these amazing machines in the air and patching them up (fast!) when they returned from another life-or-death mission. Re Guy's comment about the overall safety of these machines, my grandfather used to make a point of piloting every test flight himself after he'd worked on the aircraft. He used to say that he felt if anything were to go wrong, he would rather have gone down with the plane than live with the death of the airman on his conscience. Thankfully he was, like all of his small team, a stellar engineer, so lived to tell the tale!
Thanks for this chat with Guy, not only is it great to get a window on his life, but it has also caused me to reflect on the great man who was my grandfather, and the brave men and women whose actions then mean we are free to live our lives today. An unexpected bonus! Cheers, James!
Ur grandfather is a hero.
@@jamespugh Thanks, James. All the best.
How'd he go up with the pilot in the single seaters?
@@BOLLOX64 Good question! Retelling the story, I tried to work that one out, I've come to the conclusion he must have taken the plane up himself (and that does ring a bell), it was after all a quick circuit of the air strip then back down. The test flights were necessary but they couldn't use too much fuel. Mind you, he was very thin back then (he was practically skeletal when they finally came home, a lot of deprivation on the island then for obvious reasons!) so maybe he just crammed in the cockpit somehow! 🤨 I think this highly unlikely though, as you can't fly the plane with someone in your lap! I wish he was still alive to ask him, but there we go.
@@BOLLOX64 Okay! So here's the answer. I checked with my mother and he (of course) used to fly the planes himself. I'm even more impressed with him now! Thanks, Alec, if it wasn't for you I'd have gone through life with it all backward. I'll edit the post now! Cheers!
Great relaxed chat between car enthusiasts gentlemen. Really appreciated, we're comfortable as standing there with you.
That's a great catch in this interview, I also liked how Guy talks btw
Certainly beats any other Tuber telling us what else he's bought, whilst expecting us to respect that. Full marks James, real stories and engagement. Pleased to see your diversification keeping it real and relatable to the person on the street.
1:19:00 - 1:39:38 New album of coldplay
My great-uncle was a Spitfire Squadron Leader during the back end of WWII. His back story and experiences were re-told to me a few years ago. Utter respect was duely paid.
Hi James, as a young boy I was in the ATC here in Cornwall and we were taken up in open cockpit gliders at Predannack airfield on the Lizard peninsula which were launched with a ground based winch on the back of a lorry. The sensation of gliding in the open cockpit over the cliffs and sea was mesmorising, but my over riding memory of the day, even now nearly 40 years later, is the noise and the lurch and the sheer terror of the winch release.
So, Mr. Berryman:
- The quiet one
- Loves racing cars
- Enjoys time away from the spotlight
I'll just call him George Harrison. I predict a trip to India within the next few years which will change him entirely.
I have a mad crush on Guy. He seems so real and nice.
Or just "dark horse" 🤔
He really is the George of Coldplay
I will have a trip all my entire life with u Guy with one of ur car , handsome shy man love u 👍🙏😘😘😘
Really enjoyed the chat. Looking forward to more.
Great Format, great interview and i love road rat! And Guy is such a great and chill lad! Wish to meet him once...
Me too lol. And Chris jeje the whole band really. They have been so great with their music for years and they're still making it! I love it!
Excellent discussion - cars, airplanes, music, social media, Road Rat, Coldplay's drummer in an episode of Game of Thrones etc... - very interesting content
Once again, thnx for this connection, James! Apart from the chat, loved the occassional black McLaren GT cruising through NVN!;)
I'm in love with these "chat shows" - Great background listening
Saw Coldplay in NJ in 2016, seats were about as bad as they get but the show was as good as it gets
The table is too high. You look like two kids 😂
Guy is genuine and very nice. But he is interrupted too much
Aillwlmouolokoudkmojow
Fantastic in depth chat James! Too many people always ask the same questions. I learnt a lot from this podcast. 👏👏👏
Love this!! ❤️ I could watch Guy speak all day:) You guys did cover a lot of things and it was all really interesting:D next time you should totally invite the whole band😍
Between two Ferrari's with your host James WW
Ha ha brilliant
Xhdiduaic
Another great video James It makes it so much more chilled when you get to interview your mates thumbs up.
His facial expressions are so enthusiastic and captivating, I love you very much, guy 💚
OH.MY.GOD.
GUY SOUNDS LOVELY!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Great interview, fascinating. Well done James.
Casually chilling with guy berryman, just shooting shit. You've come a long way, living proof that hard, smart work does pay off.
Thanks buddy!
GOD BLESS YOU , GUY BERRYMAN 💐
:))) that is so sweet and I second that. 🌸💮🦋🌿2️⃣
I NEED TO SEE GUY SINGING!!
You should've ordered pizza and make a 3 hour video.
I felt like i was sitting there just listening to the conversation.
Thanks for this. 👌
1:20:35- *Sobs uncontrollably*
Awesome and insightful video! Thank you
I record this just only to hear Guy my man , when I listen to him telling cars is so excite , yes l love u my handsome shy Guy 👌😘🙏🙏🙏🙏
Can't wait for the end of this month to finally get to listen to "Everyday Vida" :-)
good content James! this is what we like
Ironically listening to this video while doing Formula Student work and studying Motorsport engineering. Many unis now have a Formula Student team which allows students to get the hands on experience. But Guy is also right that it's a lot of maths and science.
GUY is so handsome.
Yes lolol I like his beard jeje he has an earring!
Guy haven't aged since mylo xyloto
For me he never aged, like, at all. He seems the same (only physically, of course) since I've started listening to them (2005). Back then his hair was messy and longer. But that's it.
He is cute lol.... And the other guy too they're adorable. I like this interview..... I'm glad I'm still watching.
Awesome! Loved this..... Thanks James 👍🏻👍🏻
Awesome loved it. Defo want more older car content. When you getting a classic James?
Depends. Are there many carrera GTs kickng around on autocar? Or perhaps a cleaner for that plate of food and the hat.
11:30 A rush of blood to the head ;)
Well played.
5:20 "Shiver" ;)
7:18 “Yellow” ;)
My favourite album
9:09 Up and Up
Coldplay has some epic music. Mr.jww on role with some epic people
Hard interview to follow because you talk over him a lot.
This video is quite scary because of the length, but I think this is perfect. I love to see the interaction and not only hear it. Love the content and everything you have been up too
Thanks Robert, it is long but you can return to it in bite size pieces and rejoin it on the audio versions on Apple & Spotify too when you’re on the move 👍🏻
I,m multi tasking , watching this and subscribing to road rat . happy days
James, it's Duxford that has a large number of WWII birds, including many Spitfire's.
Ah brilliant! Thanks for the info 👍🏻
Please go to another Classic Rally together !
Very much like these videos
Working on it 👍🏻
James, you need to get Billy Gibbons on this show. I know it is a long shot, but he is possibly one of the coolest people on earth, and he loves his cars. That would be an amazing episode.
lovely pista chilling in the back
Your best interview jim your quite good at this you know bravo grazie ciao
Cheers JV!
A man after my own heart, who doesn’t love to see or hear a Spitfire 👌
Just starting to watch this James....so sad that you both gave up on the dream of flight! Both seem to have to “bug”! Consider maybe getting your licenses here in US. It’s way cheaper and I believe it’s easier! Your license never expires but you do have to stay current! That’s not that hard! I believe that you can get your Euro license based on US license w just a bit of paperwork!
As I’ve mentioned before, if you’re in Orlando let me know ahead of time and I’ll take you in our Sim and show you how to fly a biz jet!
Also tell Guy that warbirds aren’t that dangerous if they’ve been looked after. Even if the engine fails you glide to earth! There are plenty of really good places to get rides. Here in Orlando there is a place w several Mustangs. He has that dream of Spits, he needs to fly in it!😎😎👊👊👊
Wow that was amazing, you are the classiest you tuber out there, well done, more of the same!!!
Love the McLaren GT just slowly wafting past in the background.
Its so refreshing to see Guy, very rarely, talk for more than 1-2 sentences 💖
50 minutes in, can't agree more. These limited cars need to be used. I also think the limited editions need something mechanically different otherwise a bit of aesthetics just feels like a marketing ploy to me. Cars generally only break when they're not used. Gotta keep them lubed up!
Awesome content really enjoying this new concept 👌
Another great podcast 👍
Time fly when you listen passionate people
I just created myself a tik tok account so that I could follow you an Guy 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Stop talking over him!
Loving this
1 minor suggestion: can you add pictures along the chat just like Joe Rogan Experience. That would be great.
I will love to be a classic car , attend Guy restore me , and others things . He is do passionate for all he do 😘😘😘😘
I gotta admit, all the cars in the back are shiny af
Yo you're gaining clout
This is excellent James. Question, is it more a passion to the success or is it a financial backing that makes the passion, to become successful? Hope I make sense.
Passion every single time.
James shocked when he had 80K people looking at him, but now on UA-cam he gets almost a million people watching him on a daily basis
You are very awesome 🇬🇧🇦🇷
Good stuff!!
Il est vraiment heureux quand il parle mécanique, c'est sa petite bulle d'évasion, maintenant sa marque de vêtements ça l'amuse bien aussi, c'est son nouveau bébé, c'est plutôt réussi ✌️
He's so cute
Next level life problems :) However, it was a great chat.
This is such a British conversation 😄
😂👍🏻
My dear guy!!! 😍🤩🤩
Awesome!
just subscribed.. great interview
would love u talked more about cars
Probably here because of Guy
Wonderfuuul 😍😍😍😘😘
The speciale should come home. You should try to get it back.
.....Or 360 CS would be amazing! That’s my favorite.
Also, I wonder why’re doesn’t like much modern cars besides the veyron?
Diego Aponte I think that he has a real appreciation for art and engineering. He brought up the E type, and the Miuria along with the Veyron. He sees the brilliant merging of art and engineering in them. There are not too many modern classics. My guess is that he would probably be on the list for a Valkyrie, probably the last of the ICE modern classics.
You need to read Spitfire by John Nichol. Also the two seater is run by Boultbee flight academy who are flying a spitfire around the world at the moment. Search for Silver Spitfire. 👍
Guys Monaco 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
You should do podcast with Tony from gravelwood!
Great job with this one btw.
i123k za yess
Speedster heritage edition in the background! Video on that please!
Interviewer stop being nervous, you don’t have to respond to every sentence. You interrupted him so many times
How do I find these on sptifiy? I looked but could only find the JWW playlist
Link is in the description of the video but also search for “MrJWW” or “Full Chat”
Found it 👍🏽🏎
Okay, by 12:46 I could take no more of this guy's ridiculous interrupting, so I'm bailing out of this wreck. Mr. JWW whomever you are, you should re-title this: Coldplay's Guy Berryman Gets To Interview Me".
Lolol I love the band and this guy..... It's worth it. Lmaoooo I talk a lot sometimes too. 🤣😂😂😂😂😂
I ordered 2 x road rat big fan but yes £8 for Del to UK is a bit steep!
James PLEASE STOP INTERRUPTING !!!!
The Spitfire likely saved England, and quite possibly the world.
Jonathan Rath Absolutely! And the incredibly brave pilots who flew them.
Howcome the start didnt have a proper intro? it seems like ti was skipped/deleted??
Well, well, he speaks!
The Road Rat has such great content. Definitely worth £25 a copy. How about £25 with free postage to the U.K?
Does anyone know where this was filmed?
I just realized PPF is only for people USING their cars, so thumbs up to all those! :)
Just one thing re your interview technique... reduce the occurance of you finishing the other person's sentence before they've finished.
To be fair, a spitfire is quite safe, hardly anything to go wrong with it. Ones at BBMF are in mint condition
