Ok. First this is a great video. Its clear, its easy, its step by step, except the second wait on the reset is 10 mins and I have the 415+ with 2GB. Second, you knew there was a SECOND. TRUN THE FUCKING AUDIO down on the Intro and the FIN screens... good GOD man.

I have a DS418play that is acting up with apps not opening or taking forever to load so I am considering doing the #2 reset for the reinstall of the DSM but I am worried will doing this erase all the work I have done on my Plex server? Does it change and of the installed apps?

This is the video I was looking for during last few days as I have the same model which I need to recover the data. I have done the same thing as per your second way rest which will re-install the DSM but unfortunately it is prompting me that "All the Data will erased during the re-installation". Haven't you got the same option or have you skipped in your video?

I can not seem to reset my Synology DS416play to its factory settings, single beep reset occurs, but I have tried many times and can not get the three beeps. any ideas?
