My Godfather Nino ran a lovely restaurant Ai Pescatore and I worked there sometimes so I learnt Siciliano and Italian food. I'm so happy you are sharing this with the world! I was living in Kenya when the Uhuru Satellite was launched in 1970 from Malindi to do X-ray astronomy. I was 11 years old at the time. I am glad that Italians are contributing to the culinary, economic, cultural, social, and recreational life of Kenya.

But what about cannolis? For me, this is the real test as to whether a place is Italian in the real sense. I love cannolis! Do they make any in Malindi? By the way, this is why losing weight is impossible. 😊

@@MichelePonte Actually, I cannot believe that I mentioned cannolis before biscottis. A biscotti, dipped in chocolate, is especially tasty. I like to keep mine in the fridge so that the chocolate gets hard. Italian pastries are really nice. I wonder whether there's an Italian bakery in Malindi. Never mind. I need to lose weight. 😊
