WHY IS MY GAME SO SMOOTH?:
No my pc is not from Nasa, I'm using a built in screen recorder mod made by the developers of Teardown, the mod takes a screenshot every frame that can later be compiled into a smooth 60fps video that is enjoyable to view for UA-cam. The game is actually running quite slow sometimes reaching 3fps or even 1fps during intense scenes such as plane crashes. Even though my videos are only a few minutes long they can take hours to make.

Kinda neat how the wheels stay even after the entire car is liquified. I assume this is a tear down quirk with the way cars work but it’s pretty comedic nonetheless.
Yeah it's because of Teardown, the wheels are their own seperate objects so you have to individually target each wheel If you want to liwuify them

For some reason, big objects don't turn 100% into voxels so it's not as satisfying (you can see it happen with the subscribe button), so I tried to avoid liquifing big objects

@@toastyprotogen2213 the mod wasn't made by Teardown, was made by a modder. The mod is already extremely laggy so I guess they didn't want it even more laggy.

@@TeardownDestructionClips You can modify the mods source code to jump a certain percentage of voxels. That cuts down on collisions (voxels “flying” all over the place) and helps with performance. I’m currently trying to find out if I can change the data structure used for the voxels, so that it’s easier to iterate over a shape and delete a percentage of voxels that aren’t part of the surface.

I'm using the screen recorder that makes the final video not laggy, trust me, IT. IS. LAGGY. It drops to 10-1 fps most of the time, this video took a few hours to make lol.

Only small objects work, even if it did work it'd be so laggy that the voxels would start flying everywhere and glitching, I'd probably be getting 1 frame per 10 seconds (not even joking), plus it would probably crash the game anyways.

@@TerenceBai-oi7wh absolutely. It’s just, that this specific mod works by iterating over the voxels in whatever shape you’re liquifying (it’s basically a loop that says: for the very voxel in this shape, do X. With X being “detaching” it from the other voxels it is connected to.) After that it let’s the game engine do other commands, resulting in the liquefaction effect.
I found, that especially for larger shapes, the “iterating over the whole shape” part is more problematic than the insane number of falling voxels. Since the game waits until that specific calculation is finished, there’d either have to be an insane jump in processing power, or some change how the game engine works. Otherwise you’ll be stuck with the game freezing until that computation is finished.
And I'm wondering, do you make a t-rex mutant?
I'm going to try and make a giant T-Rex, Soymilk Papi already did that but his Giant T-Rex didn't walk for some reason, I got permission from him and I'm going to try and do the same thing but try and make it so it can actually walk. I also have a Mecha T-Rex with guns on it that I'll probably update the look of and then make a 50 ways video with it as well.

Yeah I used to do a few liquify videos a while ago, I'm glad people are still enjoying the concept. Often times if I make a video that was popular a few months ago it doesn't do well, but this video is doing pretty good.
