It is intresting that you say that you would take foreign friends there, because everytime when I am in Korea, I ask my Korean friends to go to those little, more hidden places where I can see 할먼이들 cook and tourists usually dont go to, because that seems authentic to me as a foreigner (and my Korean is not so good that I would have the confidence to go there by myself lool)

oh my gosh i really want to try naengmyeon but it's so hard to find in my country the one that i can eat because i'm muslim so i can only eat if the ingredient is halal. do you have any naengmyeon recipe? maybe i can try to make at home. haha.
North korean? Interesting. I visited a North korean restaurant in Bangkok once. It had beautiful North Korean women in national suits dancing and singing: Paaaaangapsuuumnida, pangapsumnida!! I had a similar dish like the cold noodles.
