in Romania, we still celebrate st. nicholas on the 6th of December where kids put their shoes in front of the door and he will bring you sweets and chocolates if you have been good all year (no big presents, just small/edible ones because all the big gifts come on Christmas)
whohoo Sophie! Now I can sleep thank you! I was looking for a video and well found it, love these fact videos. Hope you had a good weekend! And merry christmas to you even though not technically yet😂Love you sophie😍😘
the additional paycheck (called the thirteenth month) in Italy exists only for someone.. and is not related to Christmas. Some contracts even have two additional paychecks (the fourteenth)
Regarding fact # 33 - on April 17, 6 BC, Uranus was in very close conjunction with one of the brighter stars in the sky, creating what looked like a very bright single star. This is what the Wise Men would have probably followed. Which means, Jesus was born on April 17, not December 25, and the calendar is 6 years behind where it should be ( this year should have been 2023, not 2017).
I love the fact videos!!! The most; I love all of them because of your accent and voice but the fact ones even boost my knowledge (great bonus. Where is the accent from again? I forgot)
Saint Nicolas feast in Holland is actually December 5th (in Belgium it's December 6th). Another fact: christmas originates from Saint Nicolas feast! :)
Santa Claus is simply called "Weihnachtsmann" (literally "Christmas man". Not very original, I know) in Germany, and he's more of a modern import. Traditionally, Christmas presents were brought by the Christkind - the "Christ-child", basically baby Jesus. The whole tradition of giving children presents on Christmas might be a German one. Originally, as mentioned in the video, kids would get presents on St. Nicholaus's day, December 6th, a tradition discontinued by the protestants. So to sort of compensate their kids for it they moved the tradition to Christmas acouple of days later
idea for one of your Christmas videos darkness gets a job as one of santa elf and is not to happy about it if you like to of course thanks for another video.
I love the video. But one single thing, I am from Germany and and we call Santa „Christkind“ or „Weihnachtsmann“. It was maybe a pronounce thing, but I couldn’t resist on telling you. 🙈
Could be wrong but for fact 89 @22:03 think you mean Japanese people not Germany's people. I could of heard you wrong but im certain you say Germany's people at that point.

she literally said japanese
maybe its me and my hearing then
I heard Germany's people, too, and was just about to send a WTH? comment. Japanese makes so much more sense. KFC is not THAT popular in Germany.

oh damn I thought it said JOI
I'd be interesting
I wish
Wrong, christmas is on dec. 24!

why do all Americans NEED to over do Christmas every year?
google.com
ik bin net in leafhawwer fan de kryst mar dizze fideo is slim aardich goed dien ,ps do sjocht der wer strieljend út hjoed ,great job danks,
In the USA, you wouldn’t be able to make a video like this. Well, you can now, but last year political correctness was owning this country.
I think it would still be frowned upon in America, sadly... tradition is slowly losing its relevance.
Oh, shut up.
🙄🙄🙄
MichiganCowboy Thanks to TRUMP people can have a choice again.
USA! USA! USA!
