Speaking as a Nugget's fan...a one game suspension is fair. He could have caused a serious injury. It was just random luck that he didn't.
As a Minnesota fan, if any Minnesota player did that, I'd want them out for a game. It would really suck, but the game deserves integrity and safety. We want to mitigate risk to all players. If there is a palpable consequence, it will hopefully deter this from ever happening again.

If Jamal is suspended (which he should be) BLAME HIM instead of whining that it will affect the series outcome. Is any reckless behavior excusable in playoffs just because it's a valuable player? What if Townes was seriously injured or someone was hit in the eye. Fines you say. They laugh at those.

Everyone is saying a 1 game suspension is fair but I’d argue for 2 games. He threw 2 objects on 2 different occasions so it should be 1 game for each violation.

The inconsistencies in officiating from game to game are constantly detracting from the NBA product. It’s just awful when good games get overshadowed by sloppy officiating.
Normally I’d be against suspensions during playoffs, but this one would be pretty deserved.

In terms of precedent, the only other case I can think of is Steph throwing his mouthguard into the stands during a stoppage of play. He was on the floor at the time, and was immediately ejected and fined $25,000. No suspension.
This act is worse though. Way worse. At least a 2 game suspension and a $50k fine IMO
He also gave the same money/getting paid hand gestures the Rudy did and was fined for, during the game. So I hope they get him for that along with this. Fair is fair.

I thought the Nuggets would have a good 2-3 year run at least, but between Murray pulling this and their coach storming the floor, i really dont think theyre at the mental level they need to be, which is surprising considering they already got a ring together

I had no idea Jamal Murray had that much of a temper problem. He's normally well-behaved. I could definitely see Russell Westbrook or Draymond Green doing something petty like that, but not Jamal Murray of all players.
I love Murray and my hometown Nuggets, I love what he meant for our franchise. This is an embarrassment. He should be suspended a game and face a giant fine, 500k at minimum.

A fair punishment: 2 game suspension - 1 for throwing the heating pad, 1 for throwing the towel. And a $100k fine for making the money sign with his hand in front of the ref (some thing Gobert got fined for earlier this season)
Jamaal isn't in the contention for the top 25 NBA players currently in the league and is just facilitated by Nuggets play style. Suspension or no suspension, he's a non-factor. Performing against has-beens isn't a metric that needs to be hyped.
Role players don't have this luxury.

Mavs fan: When we play the Wolves in next round I'm hoping the officiating stays consistent. Honestly, as of yet, Ant man hasn't gotten to point where he will get benefit of the doubt in lot of 50/50 foul situations.
