- Gav and Dan are back in the old garden. Using two cameras they've never used before, they revisit paint on a speaker. Both cameras were borrowed, but it ain't an ad or anything. This is the first video presented at 50fps playback. Because of the new high recording frame rate, we can afford to play a lot of the slow mo back at double speed. Why 50 instead of 60? All our videos were originally shot in PAL because we are british and that.

The super slow show was fun and everything, but I really, really appreciate the level of detail you get from actual superslow footage.
You ABSOLUTELY need to revisit the CDs spinning on a motor with that faster camera!!
EDIT: If you don't want to Re-visit something, You could do Prince Ruperts Drop in slow mo. Break the tail and it EXPLODES into shards.

They filmed that at 170,000fps, I don’t think this new camera will go that high
Yes but the camera they filmed that at could only do 2500fps at full hd, if they were to do it on this one they would be able shoot at higher framerate for the same resolution, because as you increase the resolution the framerate must decrease, so if you were to decrease the resolution your max framerate will increase. Meaning that if they set the resolution on this one to the same as they had on the other at 170000 then they will be able to have a higher framerate on this one, potentially up to 850,000

I honestly don’t know what I love most about these guys; either that their videos are truly stunning, or the fact that literally *NONE* of their thumbnails are ever misleading or bullshitting you into watching them, and always give you exactly what you think you came to see.

This is what real UA-cam is, just people recording themselves, doing something they love. Not commercialized, good job.

I enjoyed the higher end videos for what they were but this is much more entertaining

That's a low framerate compared to what it can do in lower resolutions (50,000fps+) =P

It is absolutely insane to me how much light these cameras require. That you are in vright full sun daylight but STILL need to add additional lighting just blows my mind. The sun is insanely bright on its own!!

I think they were sticking to 1k framerate to be able to get 4K resolution, which (I personally believe, but have NO EVIDENCE to support) was probably part of their funding deal with UA-cam. Slow-ish-mo in 4K looks amazing, UA-cam wanted to add some really well-produced 4K content to their platform, and paid the (obviously pretty serious) production costs of the Super Slow Show in order to get advertiser-friendly, fun and interesting 4K content.

yeah some of it felt so forced and also dragged out. yes, some of the bigger things were neat, but i think what made slomoguys popular was their backyard approach - like "hey, we're just a couple of average guys doing things that average people can do, but we just happen to have some badass cameras"

Can you tell me the maximum frame rate for the v2640 please?
You can google this in like two seconds. At 640x480 it does 28,760fps, but it also has a strip resolution of 1792x8 that does 303,460fps. The monochrome versions can do more in binned modes.

@dork I already knew this though what I wanted to know is if it can do a resolution of say 144 * 256 and have a frame rate of say, 500K fps.

Now this is content. Longer, improvised, no script, limits (...). Proper entertainment. Everything I said above is the reason why i watch UA-cam instead of TV these days. But UA-cam official shows or whatever they call it, feel just like another cringe TV show... Glad you guys are back at the garden! Way much better.

Unfortunately, Season 2 of the Super Slow Show has already been confirmed, so we'll be getting a bunch of that again at some point.

I loved the Super Slow Show. I waited eagerly for each episode.
They had some interesting videos but most of them were either shot poorly compared to how they normally shoot them, too fast, had unnecessary and annoying guests and or felt too forced
I completely agree. When Gavin is in full control of everything things just are much more enjoyable and interesting.
