cracking job mate. I see you cross bracing ontop of old 4x2's quite often - whats this like structurally in most cases? Is there anything to keep an eye out for where sistering might be needed?
Hi Rob. I just want to start off with amazing job. Beautiful finish. Is this to be used as a permanent room. I only ask because of the loft ladders. I thought if it was permanent then there had to be a proper set of stairs. When I did my loft at my old house it couldn't be classified as a fourth bedroom because of not having a fixed staircase. Thanks.
Hey mate, great job as always! May I ask, why did you start by cutting away at the existing beams? Just trying to work out what works best, good old fashioned cross beaming or these loft legs that seem to be popping up across social media 😅 any advice greatly appreciated!
Hi rob I’m interested in buying a loft conversion kit from ecotruss, I know you’ve taken the videos down, they don’t supply Any instructions. I was saving up a long time to buy this kit and now haven’t got your videos a bit stuck . Any advice or help?
this is silly. If doing all this work, why not put in the new floor joists to support the study walls and do away with the diagonal struts? So much work put in and yet the space is not very useful with the diagonals still in. And of course these must not be removed the way the structure has been put up. Please consult a structural engineer next time.
Hello Mark Customer wanted a clean tidy bright storage space to store her belongings, customer didn’t want a habitable loft conversion turned bedroom so the storage package was perfect for her
Spot on there Rob👌 Old roofs will get plenty of natural ventilation through the tiles. Newer ones with a breathable membrane are a different story! Love the videos mate, not sure about Damos arse though🤣.... Also, unless your tryin to kill him off, think you need to glue a dust mask to his face haha @@builditwithrob

I do laugh when people get this type of work done and claim it will be for storage..
As long as you tell me it’s for storage once I’m finished it’s none of my business lol
Aren't these roofs designed to breath? Sorry if you've answered this Q a million times...!
Leaving an air flow gap behind insulation and ridge vents allow the roof to breathe
Spot on there Rob👌
