WE JUST GOT back - did 3 days - 1st day as you said was TOUGH but alas -did it - WE DID NEED HIKING POLES 2nd and day 3 - very muddy - so was pretty crazy on the rocky down hill parts - so was glad we took the poles. Beautiful greenery so the scenery was nice. Ha the veggie soup at that stop was not so good lol. Was cold up top! Feel like I'm there lol watching your video.
The first 4 days was raining but it cleared after , on and off light showers with one day heavy rain, however it was important for me to learn to enjoy the Camino no matter how hard it can gets . I enjoyed everything about it , it was a trip to learn about myself so even the rain was valuable ❤
I guess it depends on what you are accustomed to and prefer, but those first week temps and weather conditions (5:47) look mighty fine for walking to me. Sure was pretty coming over the pass with the verdant landscape and the low lying clouds. 🤙🏽
Hi, I believe you mentioned getting a train from Bordeaux (I assume to Bayonne and then Bayonne to SJPP) did you pre book train tickets? And what you think, would it be ok NOT to pre buy, just buy on the day? And if you had pre bought tickets and you had to take a later train, was there any hassle? ALSO thanks for the video updates :)
I've never had to pre-book the tickets. I have done that in the past but it wasn't necessary. We just walked to the train station and went to the ticket office and told them where we needed to go. Not a problem. Yes, you go to Bayonne and change trains there, but the ticket will show you go straight through to SJPDP. Also, generally it's okay to take a later train if you miss it. I think second class is not assigned seating. They just want to know that you paid.

we are starting our camino on the 26th from Sarria(first time), very helpful videos, thank you, Buen Camino!
Got back 2 weeks ago and I already miss this place
Would love to know how you experienced the weather for such an early finish. I'll be doing the same next year.

Buen camino!!
Walked it last year. Best summer of my life, even with the trip to the ER in Astorga.

Beautiful weather today from Zubiri onwards!
We'll be in Pamplona tomorrow. Probably staying at Jesus y Maria.
@@TheCaminoGuide cool, looks like we won't be too far from you. We're staying at hotel maisonnave.
Beautiful walk! I wonder if crowds are down for you because you're not starting on "the first of the month"?
Hey we are leaving pamplona tomorrow so maybe we will see you on the trail. We are the slowest of the slow so we get to meet new people everyday lol
