Haha, honestly you can do quite a bit of stuff with the free version. Definitely does take up quite a bit of time editing these lol. Luckily the base spot videos don’t take as long as the “master your domain” videos. But once again, I appreciate the kind words =]
Hey man at the end of the video you mention putting the turrets higher up to prevent LOS from the stego. What do you recommend using to place them higher up?
Hey! So if on official I would use: Pillars - build them up to the height you want then place turrets on top. Downside is they take up a decent amount of room so you may run into space issues. Fence supports/pillar - put fence supports down and then snap a pillar to the height you want, then place turrets on top of the pillar. Downside is the fence supports don’t have a lot of HP Unofficial: Hatchframes - best option, just mesh the double door frames/hatch frames into the walls so they don’t stick out far. Or float the turrets on the hatch frame. Just place the turrets on the terrain up top. Some unofficial servers allow you to place turrets pretty much anywhere. Hope that helps!

LoS = Line of Sight, in reference to turrets it means you can basically bypass or get very close to them to destroy them without the turrets shooting at all. So for example, some of the turrets up top in the main base I was able to 3rd person c4 without getting shot because there was poor line of sight at the entrance. If the turrets shot me at the right spot, I wouldn’t have been able to destroy as much. In regards to structures, some times people LoS their own turrets with structures, or create a larger LoS. So if they have a foundation or fence support sticking out. It can create more opportunities for the raider because the turrets won’t shoot them and the raiders are able to capitalize on that. I’m kind of torn about this rathole. Honestly didn’t cross my mind to fit a giga in there. As long as it can mesh bite fairly far down the tunnel, however, if they can 3rd person c4 through the ground to hit the giga without getting bit, you have a problem. But if it bites down far enough, I honestly have no clue how someone would raid that.

So I wasn't able to get the Giga to mesh bite through the ground at all. I would double check you are doing damage far enough down the tunnel to where they can't 3rd person c4 the giga. Because from what I have tested, someone can 3pc4 the giga without getting hit, which is a problem for you! May want to switch to a reaper if your tests come up the same way. Good luck bud!
Honestly, since lubos had the comment about fitting a giga at the top of the entrance there, not sure how far down it mesh bites. But honestly, no clue how you would raid that with a giga mesh biting you. So I’m actually kinda torn about that one now. Definitely build on unofficial though, with a giga in there on official, you won’t be able to fit anything lol. But the other rathole there yeah, 100%, super trash. Haha
Okay, tested the Giga and doesn't work, can 3Pc4 through the ground without getting meshbit, but reapers still can be a thing which may give some decent defense. If you are online, with a reaper, you aren't pushing that tunnel to be fair.
Try building radiation rathole a d testing it if u build it right it will be extremely hard to raid since u can only tek rifle and uf u build it right u wont be able to tek rifle it also try building lost island lava rathole
Which Rad Rathole are you talking about? There are quite a few. Also the lost island one where it’s near one of the lava waterfalls and you need a foundation to crouch through?

i wiped that with 2 people being online, 1 afk in tek pod and other one defending, killed the guy that was defending and then till he spawned i was in his base 😂 (they didnt had an outside chandi only turrets on the ledge and inside the rathole)
Hah yeah, having that Reaper in play on aggressive definitely makes this rathole MUCH harder to raid. Did they have turrets within LoS distance so you can c4/tek grenade? Or were they pushed back? Sounds like they were all close to the tunnel entrance lol, so eaaaasy raid there, good stuff!
@@FatCatArk they ones inside the rathole were super close to the tunnel entrance so yeah, third person c4 op, i just looked for screenshots of the rathole before i wiped it but i only found screenshots from when i traveled all the loot (small tribes)
Yeahhh unfortunately if you build this wrong, you’re looking at like a 30 second wipe like you did to those guys 😂. Ah, yeah I bet you can find soooo many built spots here on smalls. Free loot since probably most of them built it wrong lol.
@@FatCatArk I found 1 built properly on smalls roughly a week ago, minus the turrets on the ground, what my tribe did is we recently raided another base for fridges of shadowmanes, so we tossed a few manes on neutral towards the wall to LOS it and then just tek rifle the gen, would work with mostly any soaker after we cleared the right side part with tek nades etc, took me about 20 mins with 1 other guy to get it to the point we could tek rifle the gen and cost us 3 shadowmanes which isnt anywhere close what we expected to spend, and made a lot more profit
Just to comfirm me and my buddy do live in this rathole as well on offcial smalls and a giga does indeed fit in there on offcial now idk if it can mesh bite well but it does fit. i have turrets on the interior ground and the tunnel only as of now. after watching this it seems half could get 3rd person c4ed or LOsed but i do have like 25 to 30 turrets back agaisnt where you struggled to reach and in the left side safer side of the base. We are banking on not getting found more than anything but we do own like 3 fully decked out ratholes so we are prepared to pack and move at any second to a diffenr trathole. we just use that cave as a breeding cave only for our carbos astros maewings and more smaller dinos. i love the spot we are scared to build outside of it tho seeing how weve been there a month and none ones found us or seen us yet
Love the comment and feedback! So from my testing a giga does NOT mesh bite into the tunnel like a Reaper does and people can 3PC4 onto the ground under the giga to kill it without getting bit. Honestly, I have no idea how to raid this base if you have two aggressive reapers above the entrance. I’d honestly trade for a high level cloner reaper and pop that boy above the entrance. Level only melee into it, I can’t think of a way to raid that since it spins and bites almost all the way down the tunnel. I was honestly thinking about doing a series on this rathole living solo/duo without putting a single turret in there haha. Only a reaper or two. Definitely not official cause F official lol! Keep me updated! Happy surviving!

Haha definitely definitely get a reaper in there. I don’t have enough info to give you whether 1 or 2 reapers will be suffice. Im sure if someone goes straight HP with beer. Maaaaaaybe can get close enough, but that’s through a reaper slapping him around plus turrets for good measure. Hey I appreciate the kind words man! There absolutely isn’t enough videos out there that shows the negatives and proper way to build spots! One wrong part can get you wiped in seconds! You talking about the fjordur UW spot or Crystal Isles? If Fjordur, I build everything you see in that video on official settings! So you can get it how I got it fairly easy. Just mess around on single player with it for a bit. Or if you have an exo mek that would make it easier as well! You got this lol!
