    Would this be a good amp to power 2 10inch skar amps at 1 ohm

      Which model and size subs?

    What was the efficiency on this amp? No mention of current draw from the amp. I bought one of these for $70 because I saw it can do +1000watts from this video, but I also have a TXP1.3500 which puts out about the same. BBD has gain of 100mV-4V while Tarantula TXP takes 200mV-6V. I've noticed I'm getting a weak signal from my head unit, and BBD seams to work better in my setup because of the lower gain response. I'm just curious on efficiency because the TXP gets ~70% @ 2ohms but I have no idea on the BBD, in my situation it seams to be drawing more but also putting out more power. I know from other vids that HiFi vector is running TXP's in his personal set-up so they must be pretty good budget units. Should I be running some type of signal boost in my set-up because I'm only using a simple passive Hi-Low?

      My fluke meter was getting repaired so I did not do amperage on this amp dyno. And yes the TXP amp are great. What is your pre amp voltage?

      Thanks for taking time to read and reply! It's appreciated. So I never took a preamp reading before but since I thought my signal was weak I removed the crimped speaker slices that I tapped into and actually soldered them. I also replaced the 8ga ofc with 4ga ofc welding cable(im under 10' run). I also changed from 16ga speaker wire to 12ga inside and outside the enclosure. It seems like all of these things helped running the txp. My preamp currently is 0.455v at very low volume and 0.808v at max head unit w/o distorting. I took the readings at 50hz tone measuring from the rca with my hi-low bass knob maxed. Do you think I still should go with a line booster or change to something like a more expensive lc2i with built in technology for boosting?

      @@moejaassen That is very low pre amp voltage, You can either run a DSP like this Expert which can boost your preamp signal.
      amzn.to/3SI9EXw
      Or you can just run a high low converter and tap into your speaker leads with a high low converter like this one. amzn.to/3QyYKBJ
      I had a head unit with very low pre amp voltage like yours ( .8v at high volume ) and tested both the Expert DSP and kicker hi low converter got it up to around 5V.

      @HiFi Vector , good stuff. So the kicker converter will be able to boost me up to 5v? That's pretty good for a little $20 unit. I'm going to eventually get my doors an amp but I'm not there yet, but when I do I'll be getting a dsp. This seems really nice 👌 do you recommend it over the prv one?

    What was it 1100wrsm at 1ohm? Not bad almost made half max wattage, rated to do 1800 @ 1ohm. Buuut! Yep it's $159 bucks for 1100ish watts, nope I'll pass on this amp. Too many amps at this price point that can do more power. Good video my man, thanks is for the information.

      Yea not bad but... I agree. Thanks so much for watching!

    How good would this run two 12 inch kicker comps?

      It would work decent but there are other amps that are better and not very expensive.

    WHY are Multi-Channel Amps tested so INFREQUENTLY ??

    • @HiFiVector
      @HiFiVector 2 роки тому

      Probably because they are lower power since it takes a lot less to drive full range speakers. Thats why I think most people want to see the mono or subwoofer amp dyno tested.

    Not bad but I still wouldn't own one.
