    Great video! I have had my GTX100 for over a year and I'm finally figuring out some really good tones. The tones are in there, just takes time to bring them out. The amp is much better than I am!! The great thing about this video is you are playing the right kind of songs for your presets. That makes all the difference. Great job. Sorry it took me so long to find this video!

      does it handle high gain well? I've heard alot of people say otherwise

      can you still use the onboard patches IF you also use the effects loop to add your own pedals?

    This dude is a great player. I bought my sonic blue Fender Mustang American Performer based on his video and I love it. This amp looks like a good match for my guitar.

    Thanx man! This was an excellent demo. Like another commenter…I bought this amp a year or so ago but never really played it cause I have tube amps…but, been wanting to start learning this amp to save set up time.

    The best thing about this video is the no talking! No one and I mean no one clicks on a video to hear some dude tell us his name and give a big opening speech, no one cares get to the sounds

    Wonderful playing, thank you!!! You picked really convincing settings for the GTX! Many players choose between the Katana 100w mkII and the Fender GTX 100, I just send the Katana 100 mkII back, I think it is a great sounding amp, but the Fender has so many options and this wireless control app is just awesome. The Katana is more like a modeled guitar amp and the Fender is an amp-modeler ;)) But for practicing (Looper, backing-tracks out of the amp), the Fender seems to be the better choice. I think, for gigs it will do also a good job, if you work on the settings. It might be a little weak with the distorted high gain sounds, but which Fender amp isn't ;) (except my 1994 Evil Twin, which is as awesome as heavy;))

      How is it for playing at an apartment volume? I’ve heard people say that you never turn it up past 1 (1-10). Do you find the same?

    I need this amp to be offered in 2-10" configuration that runs in true stereo. A 2-12" will work too .... just a bit heavier.

    • @DelScully
      @DelScully 3 роки тому +4

      2-12" stereo and I would buy this thing in a heart beat, and my tube amp would be collecting dust most of the time!

    I've got the GTX50. After struggling to get a decent tone I've concluded that the speaker is crap. And it's crap. Seventy 80 whatever. Like a tiny am radio thing. I don't want to void the warranty by swapping it. And there's no speaker out jack

    • @MJPGuitar
      @MJPGuitar 2 роки тому

      Swap the speaker, and save it. If anything happens where you need warranty work done, put the stock one back in before sending it out for warranty repairs. 70/80 is a horrible speaker. The speaker in the gtx100 is a noticeable improvement.

    Should pair with a digital guitar. Digital guitars are more affordable have more options and sound just as good as real guitars.

    • @dddd717
      @dddd717 3 роки тому +2

      No way..that jammy and the others are glorified midi controllers at best....the latency is off putting and the software can’t keep up with fast playing or pitch harmonics or bends. Most appear to toyish to even appear on stage....
