Loving this series. The summons have always been an interesting but not fully explored part of the games. Thanks for taking us through the origins of these concepts
I know it doesn't really show him in a positive light, but something I've always found interesting about Odin is his performance in VIII. I'll admit I've never played the games, but I remember hearing that Odin is an optional summon in VIII that you can only obtain by climbing a huge tower filled with powerful enemies that ends with you fighting the God of Gods himself (and I think there's a time limit or something) before he'll join you. Once you get him, of course, he's an absolute powerhouse and can take out most opposition in one hit...But if you summon him against Seifer towards the end, the two will do an "Anime Cross Slash" and Odin actually dies because Seifer has just gotten that good by that point in the game. Just seems like a cool storytelling moment to hype up Odin so much, make him VERY useful and actually add a condition where he loses so that you know how far your enemies have come. May not be Odin's finest moment, but every character plays a role in a story and sometimes losing is an important and impressive role to have.
My friend did it so I'm not 100% sure. I know he layers up his keyboard tracks in something like Garageband, but I don't think it's actually Garageband.
Ohh man imagine a final fantasy game were we the main character is Thor and you need to fight your father. Like odin valhalla already exist. You could tell a great north story with typical final fantasy elements. But odin needs of course his typical final fantasy look.

Final fantasy 15 would have been a perfect world for Odin especially as a replacement to Bahamut.
They could have kept adding more DLCS. Not too late.
