I was 17 when I watched this movie, it was like nothing I had seen before. I can't put it into words, it keeps coming back to me every now and then and I always tend to have these prolonged discussions about it with myself whenever it comes up. I've watched a lot of movies but this one stands alone as a piece of art. I will think of this movie for years to come
Best interview of Eva Melander I've seen so far. The film was so unique, so creative, and so original. 'Border' hit on issues of human alienation from nature and the effects of assimilation. I loved Tina's rich journey of discovery, and I get emotional just thinking about it. The interviewer was excellent, btw. He gave space for everyone to speak and be heard. 'Border' is one of the best films I've seen in years.
I LOVED this movie . I watched it with my husband and he was SO disappointed when he realised it was a film and not a series!!! I want MORE of Tinas story!! Like, what did she do about the *spoilers*???...What happened to *spoiler*? Did she ever find the *spoiler*? We want a SERIES!!!!
The thunder and lightnibg is Tor/Thor hunting trolls and giants. Thats what I got told as a kid growing up in Sweden. So I guess the trolls in the movie are scared of that.
I have just watched it and I like it very much. I found it as a mythological story about the world mixed with humans and creatures like humans attached to nature. And I recognised it, even do there is a lot of bitter and hard parts, like a movie about a deep awakening and a real contemporary fairytale with a happy ending.
What a monumentally unique film. Brilliantly executed by everyone involved. There are so many profound themes to address, was surprised by such vanilla questioning when given the opportunity.... so much attention given merely to the (great)make up for example. I'd have wanted to know what sort of emotional bond was necessary to created in order to produce the degree of animal intimacy between Vore and Tina(assuming even perhaps that neither actor had worked together before, etc).
ViolentFEAR trolls are from Norse mythology. It’s essentially a part of Scandinavian heritage, not Finnish. However I don’t know if there are some overlapping in Finnish mythology but we were surrounded by mythologies of trolls when we grew up in Sweden. Everywhere from paintings of John Bauer, to Ronja Rövardotter, to creating trolls from stones and painting them when we were children.

Magical film that will have you thinking what life really is ! Just incredible!
Incredible acting
Eva Melander deserves an Academy Award for her ingenious performance. Blown away by the film and by all the talent involved.
This is the most realistic makeup job that I have ever seen - Tina, Vore, and the baby. And I enjoyed the movie. 💯

Since the last night, the moment I finished to watch the film, I am thinking how many metafores are there in the film? Well done Ali! Good job! 👏👏👏
'metaphore'
