Only like the first one is actually near death, because of totems. - Vexes, totem left enough absorption hearts to easily survive. - Totem gave fire resistance, so no real danger there. - all of the others have the same explanation as the one with the vexes.

All you need to gather leaves is a pair of shears. It's wayyyyy cheaper (two iron) and no enchanting required. You can collect other things with shears too, like vines (mossy block variants, anyone?)!

I’d say 5 near-deaths. “Almost dying” in Minecraft is pretty subjective and comes down to what the player defines it as, but at the very least being brought down to under 4 hearts is definitely considered nearly dying, and that happened 5 times. The others you didn’t get low enough and killed the mobs/avoided near-death before reaching low hearts.
This man gives himself an absurd challenge, limits his amout of resources in hardcore, but still gets better gear than me in 100 days than I have on my 2 months old world.
It takes awhile because he ACTUALLY does 100 days which I think is about 2 days irl and then he has to edit them so that probably takes awhile also so probably at least 3 or 4 days for 1 of these videos. [edit: he also obviously has other things going on in his life like eating, socializing, and sleeping.]

This is such a cool concept. When I found a mansion in my world over 10,000 blocks from my base, I set up a strip mine underneath for resources, and came across a lush cave bisected with a mineshaft. It really was amazing. And so lucrative.
If a challenge ever befits it, you should try a big elevator to reset mob spawns by going out of their range. Then you can reset for zombie villagers easier!

Also as far as near death experiences, I think it’s very subjective what each of us views as one, but from my personal count I’d say 7 TRUE near death close calls. It is Minecraft so really one slip up anywhere can result in your death so it’s hard to say 😂 I’ve never won anything in my life and have medical bills sucking me dry so I figured I’d take a shot! FYI: Oak trees are the only ones that drop apples. Definitely prioritize those if your starting a village Edit: also invest in a stone cutter when tackling tasks like replacing all the cobble with stone bricks in the mansion. You get a 1 to 1 conversion when using the stone cutter vs. losing a couple extra blocks crafting
I always use oak for this reason, but eventually end up just buying tons of apples from farmers, lol. A stack of gold apples + fully enchanted protect IV armour is easy mode.

Day 14, at around 14 and a half minutes, fails to block a creeper explosion, however took minimal damage Day 15, at around 15 and a half minutes, loses substantial health when fighting off a horde of mobs in the roof Day 17, not really any death defying things, but discovered that fire does indeed hurt Day 19, at 17 minutes and 18 seconds, While talking to the audience, gets attacked by a drowned with a trident Day 20, at 18:47 discovers why insomnia is a bad thing, and a very "grave" decision... And a few seconds later brought down to low health trying to retrieve sugarcane. I'm putting the entire sugarcane escapade as a near death experience because this dude can't catch a break. Also uses up a totem Later at around 20 minutes, dies only on the inside when he gets an apple but didn't record the footage I know at day 22 he said jokingly that he wasn't gonna die, but due to having an abundance of flesh, he really wasn't in too much danger of starvation Day 28 on the roof discovered a dangerous mob right there, luckily he's a dangerous player Day 33, at 28 minutes and 15 seconds, Runs on the roof and encounters a lot of mobs, however it cuts away before we see if any major damage happens Later at about 45 seconds, While retrieving a zombie villager, panics at the horde of zombies with a skeleton Later at about 29 minutes and 15 seconds, locks "Olivia" up in the jails, if I did that to my girl I would get killed instantly. I counted “almost dead” as 1 hit away from a mob, below 2 hearts, or popping a totem. You almost died 6 times: 1st at 6:00 to a vindicator. 2nd at 9:25 to a vex (you pop a totem about 15 seconds after, but I counted that as the same encounter). 3rd at 13:11 when you fell in lava. 4th at 18:54 to phantoms and the drowned. 5th at 58:22 to the iron golem. 6th finally at 1:11:01 with the drowned swarming you. Day 4 at 06:00 almost died to a vindicator, barely survived by blocking the half hp axe hit with the shield Day 4 at 06:10 creeper jumped him from the high ground. Luckily it exploded far away from you. Day 5 at 07:08 vindicator chasing him and he lost sprint, barely managed to run away. (wasnt holding a totem in his off-hand) Day 9 at 09:24 got swarmed by vexes and almost died with 1 n half heart left, continues to be chased by the vexes. At 09:38 totem got popped from the vexes. Day 13 at 13:11 fell in lava XD, popped a totem and survived from totem's fire res. Day 20 at 18:52 almost died at 1 n half hearts swarmed by zombies and phantoms. Ate a gapple afterwards. Took drowning dmg and zombie last hit popping the totem Day 81 at 58:18 got down to half a heart due to the iron golem. Had totem in off-hand anyways. Day 96 at 1:11:00 swarm of drowneds attack. Shield broke and got down to 2 hearts. In total you almost died 8 times.

Sorry to be late to the party, but you almost died around five times. Once on Day 9, you used a totem on day 13, but you weren't in much danger or dying because of the fire resistance, it was very scary on Day 20, though the iron golem almost got you on Day 82, you still had your totem so there wasn't much worry. On the night of the 96th day, it was very close as you didn't immediately have your totem equipped, and then there weren't any more times that you almost died.

All you need to gather leaves is a pair of shears. It's wayyyyy cheaper (two iron) and no enchanting required. You can collect other things with shears too, like vines (mossy block variants, anyone?)!

I’d say 5 near-deaths. “Almost dying” in Minecraft is pretty subjective and comes down to what the player defines it as, but at the very least being brought down to under 4 hearts is definitely considered nearly dying, and that happened 5 times. The others you didn’t get low enough and killed the mobs/avoided near-death before reaching low hearts.

This is such a cool concept. When I found a mansion in my world over 10,000 blocks from my base, I set up a strip mine underneath for resources, and came across a lush cave bisected with a mineshaft. It really was amazing. And so lucrative.
If a challenge ever befits it, you should try a big elevator to reset mob spawns by going out of their range. Then you can reset for zombie villagers easier!

Also as far as near death experiences, I think it’s very subjective what each of us views as one, but from my personal count I’d say 7 TRUE near death close calls. It is Minecraft so really one slip up anywhere can result in your death so it’s hard to say 😂 I’ve never won anything in my life and have medical bills sucking me dry so I figured I’d take a shot! I’ve been subbed forever anyways lol. Also I see you’re still using Steve, I remember you used a custom skin before, you should use that again! It looked great for the channel 😃

FYI: Oak trees are the only ones that drop apples. Definitely prioritize those if your starting a village
Edit: also invest in a stone cutter when tackling tasks like replacing all the cobble with stone bricks in the mansion. You get a 1 to 1 conversion when using the stone cutter vs. losing a couple extra blocks crafting
I always use oak for this reason, but eventually end up just buying tons of apples from farmers, lol. A stack of gold apples + fully enchanted protect IV armour is easy mode.

Day 4, at around 6 minutes, half health and shield disabled.
Almost immediately after, got snuck up on by a creeper, had potential to one shot
Day 5, at around 7 minutes, ran out of hunger, chased by a vindicator. Just barely made it inside safe room.
Day 9, at 9 minutes and 23 seconds, down to barely any hearts from vexes, ended up using one totem.
Day 11, at almost 12 minutes, got down to half health by a hoglin
Day 13, at 13 minutes and 12 seconds...
Jumps into pit of lava, uses up a totem. Good going nerd.
Day 14, at around 14 and a half minutes, fails to block a creeper explosion, however took minimal damage
Day 15, at around 15 and a half minutes, loses substantial health when fighting off a horde of mobs in the roof
Day 17, not really any death defying things, but discovered that fire does indeed hurt
Day 19, at 17 minutes and 18 seconds,
While talking to the audience, gets attacked by a drowned with a trident
Day 20, at 18:47 discovers why insomnia is a bad thing, and a very "grave" decision...
And a few seconds later brought down to low health trying to retrieve sugarcane.
I'm putting the entire sugarcane escapade as a near death experience because this dude can't catch a break.

Later at around 20 minutes, dies only on the inside when he gets an apple but didn't record the footage
I know at day 22 he said jokingly that he wasn't gonna die, but due to having an abundance of flesh, he really wasn't in too much danger of starvation
Day 28 on the roof discovered a dangerous mob right there, luckily he's a dangerous player
Day 33, at 28 minutes and 15 seconds,
Runs on the roof and encounters a lot of mobs, however it cuts away before we see if any major damage happens
Later at about 45 seconds, While retrieving a zombie villager, panics at the horde of zombies with a skeleton
Later at about 29 minutes and 15 seconds, locks "Olivia" up in the jails, if I did that to my girl I would get killed instantly. Nah jk I don't have one. Wonder why?

can someone please explain how falling in lava while holding a totem is a close call? He wasn't close to death at all there. There's a difference between using totems and almost dieing.

I counted “almost dead” as 1 hit away from a mob, below 2 hearts, or popping a totem.
You almost died 6 times:
1st at 6:00 to a vindicator.
2nd at 9:25 to a vex (you pop a totem about 15 seconds after, but I counted that as the same encounter).
3rd at 13:11 when you fell in lava.
4th at 18:54 to phantoms and the drowned.
5th at 58:22 to the iron golem.
6th finally at 1:11:01 with the drowned swarming you.

Day 4 at 06:00 almost died to a vindicator, barely survived by blocking the half hp axe hit with the shield
Day 4 at 06:10 creeper jumped him from the high ground. Luckily it exploded far away from you.
Day 5 at 07:08 vindicator chasing him and he lost sprint, barely managed to run away. (wasnt holding a totem in his off-hand)
Day 9 at 09:24 got swarmed by vexes and almost died with 1 n half heart left, continues to be chased by the vexes. At 09:38 totem got popped from the vexes.
Day 13 at 13:11 fell in lava XD, popped a totem and survived from totem's fire res.
Day 20 at 18:52 almost died at 1 n half hearts swarmed by zombies and phantoms. Ate a gapple afterwards. Took drowning dmg and zombie last hit popping the totem
Day 81 at 58:18 got down to half a heart due to the iron golem. Had totem in off-hand anyways.
Day 96 at 1:11:00 swarm of drowneds attack. Shield broke and got down to 2 hearts.
In total you almost died 8 times.

I repuposed all the rooms and added an animal sanctuary on the second floor roof with stained glass, water features, bridges, and a gazebo. At the bottom I added a guest wing

Edit: I think it was 4 near deaths, 5 if you include when you were underwater and almost died twice in a row
Sorry to be late to the party, but you almost died around five times. Once on Day 9, you used a totem on day 13, but you weren't in much danger or dying because of the fire resistance, it was very scary on Day 20, though the iron golem almost got you on Day 82, you still had your totem so there wasn't much worry. On the night of the 96th day, it was very close as you didn't immediately have your totem equipped, and then there weren't any more times that you almost died.
That transition @ 26:50 was really smooth
