Not gonna like, I love Atraxa, but tbh, it should have been banned(waiting 7 August). Cuz I can't resist playing it. This time I decide to test and added Invasion of Gobakhan so Atraxa can hit some invasion also. In general, Invasion worked well. Btw, don't remove Soul Partition, if you gonna change the deck, cuz there are a lot of Etali decks, so you could return your Pw's/Atraxa. In general, Soul Partition is becoming a very indispensable card in the current meta. This is definitely one of my favorite card.
The problem with Atraxa, Grand Unifier is technically not the card itself (it has a very high 4C cost not many decks can afford to use in Standard and almost anywhere that is not Vintage (because of the Power 9, Specially Black Lotus) if you decide not to use Reanimator) but the vast array of very efficient Reanimator Spells and Graveyard Setup Spells we have in Standard, some of which, you guess it, should have Rotated as well. Just Banning Atraxa will not solve the underlying problem with her and also Etali and other Reanimator Targets in Standard which is that you get them into the Field too fast
Great deck Sonio I might give it a shot . Have you ever considered doing videos with commentary . I personally wouldn’t care if your English isn’t perfect . Sometimes I wish I could hear your thoughts on your plays. I think it would be great. Cheers 🍻
Game 2: The slowest aggro player vs the fastest control player Game 6: Not all who wander are lost, but you will lose if you get wandered three times in a row
This deck is a blast! Games take a while because you have so many options to consider once you survive to the point of being able to invoke but I like the power and also like the less RNG of reanimating here than in your typical breach and/or etali decks (although you can of course hit those off the portal for example, portal into etali from opponent's graveyard).
There are also many, many ways to stay alive to that point, exile removal (sweepers and spot), and ramp to get you to casting all the big stuff. I thought (at first glance) atraxis was only reanimate but there is enough variety in mana base to hard cast it sometimes too.
12:01 Beautiful. Btw, I just played against this deck after watching this video and died on their 3rd Atraxa with them having the 4th in hand, it's disgusting.
Atraxa is fun but dimir control with mill wincon completely runs any Atraxa deck into the ground. It ends up being nothing but a waste of mana and milling yourself out faster lol On the other hand, dropping Atraxa against aggro is almost always a insta-concede
I played a lot with the deck and it's not doing great. On one hand, there's infinite value - if the game reaches later stages, but that's just absolutely not case a lot of the time. Early game, we are the mercy of drawing both Lay Down Arms and the enough amount of Plains which has proven very diffucult for me. MonoRed, Soldiers, Enchantments and other Aggro just go under us. Thalia in particuilar is instant GG, we don't have as single creatrure and cannot even ramp, draw for answers or sweep. Any aggro deck go 1 drop, 2 drop, 3 drop = GG. We need a very specific draw to be able to survive the first 4 turns. Maybe, I am not mulliganing correctly, the combo seem too unreliable for bo1, when you don't even know if you need early interaction, or ramp/draw.
I want to know why it always takes people so long to make a decision. Lets say you have 3 or 4 cards to play why do you need a timer every time? I used to play poker at the casinos and online, you used to get guys that took a long time so they wouldn't portray a pattern. Money was on the line but it was still unnecessary. Make a decision quit making people wait so long. I am of course referring to the procrastinators not the poster of this video.

I don’t like using it… ya it’s good but it’s a little too good an it just doesn’t feel right using her
Would be nice if she didn’t have vigilance or lifeline
Congratulations. I really like your decks and your style. Became my only reason to keep watching Magic on UA-cam, you and CGB.
Facts.

That first Gobakhan was a classic mtg moment. 2 copies of everything XD

Video shows just how stale the meta is right now. Just constant mono white aggro or selsnya enchantments

watching you whoop up on that salty soldiers player was perfection.
That was a lovely top deck against mono white at around 12.35. Sometimes the arena gods are gracious!
I thought The Same 😊
Such a true magic player always sorting your hand from left to right. So cute 😊
Wow, standard managed to become even worse than it was before the bans. Actually impressive.
Anything that can bring something back from the graveyard regardless of mana cost is completely broken in MTG.

More decks with control!
Atraxa and Emperor make me fkng sick

Why didn’t he attack on the second game to take you to 1hp?
maybe wait for new all creatures buff spell to do something- idk.
The deck feels like it is missing some consistency. Even with the ability to cycle/loot. Losing BB really hurt the mono white control shell.

Mtg sucks because everyone quits as soon as they think you might actually be having fun
3 wandering emperor😂
typical meta deck, see nothing what should be banned here
