Cheers Peter J 😂👋🔥💪👍

Hi Phil. I've watched your UA-cam videos with interest. As my Mum passed away, little treasures, memories, and gifts slowly came out. She was a canny person. Besides the $200 1983 Gold coin, she also left me 8×1966 round silver 50-cent pieces. Wow! But as I gradually go through the coins, I've found some pre-1900 half pennies,(1880's), lots of early to mid 1900 pennies, threepence's, etc. Now I'm wondering what I can do with them. I wouldn't say I'm a coin collector at all, but I do enjoy your videos.
Hi Alan, Thanks for sharing. I'm Glad that you enjoy what I'm able to share. That can be a hard question to answer, If they hold sentimental value i would probably make an album and keep at least 1 coin per year as a keepsake. Otherwise if you are looking to move them on for other collectors to enjoy i would research the key dates and then find a coin shop that specialised or knows about predecimal coins and see if they would take the key dates individually and buy the rest as a bulk lot. The Guys at the Purple Penny do great videos about what coin shops look out for when buying bulk lots like that.
@@PhilFindsCollects Thanks for your reply Phil. I reckon I'll probably keep a couple of coins (for the grandkids maybe) but I'll take your advice and get in touch with a coin dealer to see if they're interested in a bulk buy. Too busy in retired life to take on another hobby, even though I find your videos intriguing and well presented.
Hi Think about it I'm seeing full sets (without the '66) sold for around $35 to $45 recently. I don't know that there is a massive market for full sets though. I bought a full set in 2020 for $30 The Centenary of Federation are the harder ones to find in good conditions these days.
Hi Graham. Sometimes if there is a bit of goo or sticky residue on it i will wash circulating coins in warm soapy water. But i generally do not clean the majority of my circulated coins. It's not generally looked on favorably, but I'm not ever planning to get my coins graded or even selling them so they are mine and i can do what i like with them.

I hope you are successful,
I appreciate you for watching my little channel 😁
A great coincidence! 😂
Yes, so crazy.
What would a book a whole book be worth minus the round 50 cent piece and the extremely rare 88 coat of arms?
