TNT has the best singers as contestants because of the format to advance to the next stage of competition. The TNT boys was from the kids version of this contest
This was a competition Tawag ng Tanghalan, where the TNT boys competed and this was wildcard week,the judges were Jaya, Yeng Kyla, Erik Santos & Rey Valera (an OPM legend) 😊

I think Aila can do better than this. I saw another videos where she sang this song.. She was nervous at that time because they were put in a situation where pressure is really high. She really admitted that her performance wasn’t the way she expected to be due to the pressure on the show. But she’s thankful enough to finish the song. Btw, You can check other performance of her. Try All against the odds, What about love, Didn’t we almost have it all, Hero.

Her technique is so similar to Regine ,their are few songs only that I like cuz most of them are not pleasing to ears .Their technique is only good for belting ,but with other songs with complicated notes its quite hard to adjust and even hit those fluently cuz the muscles are already stiff ...
Her upper register is not kinda supported belting which lead to kinda shouting. Belting is shouting, but a supported one; full and resonant.

She tried but that was almost a disaster. The tempo was so slow that she was struggling and making a squeaky sound. I loved Aila's previous performances but that one was just cringeworthy.

I seriously dont get the hate on M-Angel. She wasn't the first one to note that Aila's performance was all over the place. Obviously, the TNT judges picked Ato over her for the very same reason. It was very pitchy. Don't get me wrong. Prior to this performance I was rooting for Aila to enter the grandfinals since in my personal opinion, she's better than Remy Luntayao (based on previous TNT performances). But Ato got the better of her that day since his performance was miles "cleaner" than Aila's. She's got some pipes no doubt, but singing's not all about belting. It was really a bad day for her but that doesn't negate the fact Aila's a great vocalist. It just wasn't her day. M-angels comments were spot on and those who claim otherwise should at least still act civilized when commenting. 😡😧
