    I noticed Dan Hurd in the mix. I love the enthusiasm and joy you all have when" pulling" a huge quartz crystal from the earth. You realize that you are the first person to touch that millions of years old quartz. My only issue with all of this is, if the specimen you find is worth more than you paid initially just to mine there, the owners take it. Please, don't get me wrong, it's an amazing thing to do, but, you can't keep it unless you buy it. I've seen the amount of crystals that the mine owners find on a normal day. I would think that the owners would let you keep all you find. What, like they are going to really need and just have to have the money that they are worth? Your doing all the digging and your doing all the sweating and then you have to give what you sweated for away? I know that mining is expensive,but, come on. Sounds like money grubbing to me. What a sweet deal man! You do all the labor and they get what you find. I say bullshit, with a capital B!!!

    • @kennethboston8301
      @kennethboston8301 2 роки тому +3

      @@JaayyMan It's just plain greed. Must be nice having free labor. It's just$$$$$$$$$. I have no idea why the people who pay big bucks to dig up a crystal and just give it to the people that you've already paid to dig. Oh...hey man, that crystal you just dug up just paid your dig fee. Everything else you find after hours of hard labor,is ours. What a sweet deal man.

      The quartz is hydrothermal, it precipitates from hot waters that were saturated in dissolved quartz. Similar to rock candy being formed from hot water saturated in dissolved sugar.

    Absolutely incredible, and it’s worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it.

    • @blogintonblakley2708
      @blogintonblakley2708 2 роки тому

      No it's not worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. This is a common scam used by capitalists to justify underpaying forced labor in the capitalist economy. If someone gets scammed by an owner and overpays then they can't get the value they put into the transaction back in a sale.
      If something is worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it then it is worth nothing. Because under those conditions I could claim it free. The amount of money it takes to buy something is not always connected to it's worth.
      Something is worth what the available market is willing to pay for it, not any given individual. Another way to think of this is the going rate. Setting a price for something is the most common way to carry out a transaction in the USA. Not bargaining, or having the entire market bid against each other... which is what your scenario describes.

    Really enjoyed your video and watching the "birth" of your new crystal baby. You guys have so much fun and everyone really loves to help you. I am too old and crippled to do what you do in the field. So I shop 4 my crystals at Fire Mountain Gems and Beads. My crystal beauties are much smaller but they sure do sparkle. I love them and plan to use them in a beadweaving project for a bracelet or in a necklace. Thanks for sharing your video and may your travels be fun and exciting.
