Update: On my second listen now, already the song's grown on me quite a bit. I think some of my initial reaction came from me being tired when I first listened. Now I'm more awake, partially know what's coming up from my first listen, loving it! Some of my concerns/gripes are still present but they're easily dwarfed by all the good things about the song. A weird twisting and turning banger. The song goes so many directions and shifts tone so much over the course it's like three songs combined into one. Tallah are an unstoppable force. And Justin, that chorus is gorgeous. Features added a really cool and different dynamic to the song. Think I can safely call this one of my favorites so far.

Bro Guerilla Warfare is one of my favorite bands of the last decade. Heard Nu.Wav and was fucking mind blown. I heard Tallah in 2020, mind blown again. I can't even describe what this one did. I'd never heard of Fire from the Gods but yet again mind blown. Everyone is entitled to like or dislike them but it's clear these men and women are the face of the next decade of metal/hardcore and I'm glad to be along for the ride.

Every ounce of success they get will be damn well earned. I just hope the listeners of today can stomach it. Pantera kept the metal fire burning after nearly going out in the 90’s, and thanks to them their little ember grew into the wildfire that became Nu metal keeping the genre alive for Deathcore and progressive metal to come after. But since those ran their course, metal has been withering away sadly once again. I was starting to think my favorite genre might actually die for real this time. And then these dudes show up, finally someone worthy of passing the torch to that can wave the metal flag in the face of all the pretenders that have taken over the airwaves.
