Because of this video I purchased the same Edison Collier.... I still don't have the artistry ... Owning the pen makes me feel that bit more connected... I'm still viewing your videos ... And have started to practise Spencerian because of this ... Thank you
Gotta love Waterman's flex. Sure, full flex is harder to control than semi-flex, but the results! I can't get enough of them. Thanks for sharing, and your writing is lovely as always.
I couldn’t help but notice the quality of the Waterman. Beautifully slender and the depression for the lever is trimmed with the matching metal. I was obviously born too late.
I've just got into fountain pens about 4 months ago and only really own cheap sup $20 pens atm. Though I did just buy my first vintage pen which is a Waterman Crusader with an open italic nib and it needs a new sack tho so I get to try my hand at my first sack replacement also. I think my Grail pen would be a Waterman 52 or 54 like yours there, or a vintage Conklin crescent filler or Mabie todd swan lol. I see also these vintage wet noodle pens that are beautiful and a testament to the craftsmanship of the time but any in decent shape are well above my budget. I don't think my handwriting abilities deserve a pen like that yet though. Your penmanship is great
In point of fact, both are delightful pens & nibs; not quite sure why the (other) commentators have to highlight his wristwatch - it's insignificant. The penmanship is the focus, which is accomplished, without doubt. Pleasing presentation, thank you :)
I still say that Waterman 52V is still the best flex nib ever made. I wish they would recreate that pen since they sell them at an outrageous price for the vintage one's.
Thanks very much, I absolutely love the 52's, but in this wonderful demo', I don't think that there's muchly if anything between the two, great to watch though. David.

Nevermind the tool rather than the skills of the operator, awesome in this case :- O
I LOVE the snake clip on the Collier. Was that a custom order? I’ve just ordered a stock Collier in Persimmon Swirl and can’t wait to try it. Beautiful writing too!
Because the pen can breath a little bit, usually the vintage pens are wet and the little hole make the cap dry and does not accumulate humidity inside.
sauroborsi I wouldn't say it's smoother, both are very smooth nibs, but the Waterman is softer and has more give to it. The sounds picked up by the microphone can be misleading.
+Nikxo A Well vintage waterman pens you can find on ebay and the Collier is widely available through most well known fountain pen retailers like Goulet Pens. The Binder nibs are no longer available since he retired so the cost is a moot point.
+Crappy Calligraphy with an Idiot i know i will probably get hate/death threats for saying this, but i dont think the binder nibs are anything special, nor worth anywhere near what he charged to make them "full flex".
Damn, I can watch this all day. Amazing penmanship....
agreed ❤️
Your precision is amazing. And this is so legible compared to so many others I've seen.
So difficult to find handwriting that is both beautiful and as functional as neat, no-flourishes handwriting

I had a little gasp when you made that first A... Imma gonna add that to my writing
'had to control' yet your letters still seem crazy consistent. Really cool :') And that pen has a really pretty blue barrel

I love your handwriting. It's so suave.
Yeah yeah, we noticed your watch ;)
I was going to say I stole your As and ts, but I quickly realised that I have to practise them too!
Wow. These are indeed Pens for the Angels. Love the shakey-snake at the end!
I think that "lovely" is the word here.
Awesome !!! I love the snake clip so much, but that waterman ripple is just memorizing.
+Fountain Pen Day Perhaps you meant mesmerizing?

Beautiful work, Hector.
Hector seems to like his watch a whole lot and want it on camera too.
+d5115r I am a filthy watch whore. :P Check out my other video "This is a test of the fountain pen system" for more shenanigans.
I would love if you put link to the oficial site of pen models. I'm not an expert, but I love this videos.

Beautiful writing too!

I think I know where I've gone wrong concerning my penmanship. I'm not wearing the right watch. Lol
Can you tell me why there's always a little hole on the vintage fountain pens ??
Because the pen can breath a little bit, usually the vintage pens are wet and the little hole make the cap dry and does not accumulate humidity inside.
Are these vintage pens? Anyone knows what pens are these?
Whats inks did you use?
I mean, what is the difference between wet noodle and vintage nibs??
What kind of ink is the blue one? And I love your A, I might have to add your A to my personal writing alphabet.
That is Iroshizuku Ku Jaku.
I bought a few fountain pens and my handwriting still has not improved. Thought it would get as good as yours. Lol
Is that a Seiko watch?
if you ever want to sell that red ripple please contact me, i will buy it on the spot.
the Waterman seems to be a little bit smoother. Am I right?
sauroborsi I wouldn't say it's smoother, both are very smooth nibs, but the Waterman is softer and has more give to it. The sounds picked up by the microphone can be misleading.
where can i take a look at these pens and buy online?
how much did richard binder cost you?

Oh yeah that's why I couldn't find binder nibs thank you for replying me. It has helped a lot. I am gonna go find find some waterman branded pens.
Is the blue pen or red pen is vintage ??
Please, please tell us which inks you used!
+DavidBerlin07 The top ink is Iroshizuku Ku-Jaku and the bottom ink is Montblanc Burgundy.
thank you!
Is the Binder nib fine or extra fine please?
It is an extra fine.
We get it, you waste money on expensive watches
😂best comment ever
خط رائع و تبقى اللغة العربية أروع مهما كان الأمر...!

That is Iroshizuku Ku Jaku.
Crappy Calligraphy with an Idiot Thanks
Is this a watch ads?

I dunno about you, but I need a cigarette.
And someone to hide my debitcards :)
Waterman is better suitable for writing: it his a slimer pen. Much much better shape for a good handwriting.
Has this writing a name?

You didn't show anything about the pens!!
Impress us get a Patek. Rolex is just a show of elitist bourgeois. Just like a Mercedes there are finer things.
