Mine can hang with an LS but prior to my SuperCharger setup by powerdyne I yanked out my stock TBI engine and put in a 5.7 Vortec engine way better flow on the heads but you can have these TBI Machined and cut for bigger valves and port and polish the runners will make them heads breath like they always wanted possibly better than the Vortec heads I've seen these run larger valves than stock Vortec heads use and I even seen my machine shop I use take a TBI 305 set of heads and make 310hp on a Dyno afterwards so yeah it works it's a little pricey but cheaper than buying a complete LS
What was the tuning/software company? I'm going to do a build in my truck .60 305 heads built with larger valves and mild cam. It's 4x4 so I just want shit loads of torque down low

How much are you able to actually tune the fuel and ignition maps? The OBD1 system is fairly small memory isn’t it? I’ve never tuned an obd1 Chevy but my 86 bronco years and years ago I swapped to megasquirt, I am wondering if its anywhere near as capable as basic megasquirt?
An MSD ignition, some colder plugs, a Holley 670cfm tbi replacement, some Vortec heads, summit 1102 cam, Chevy performance manifold, and it’ll breathe and really scream. You’ll be in the 300hp club for sure. Go with a Holley Sniper or Terminator and it’ll probably be in the 400s
Well not even an ls swap but don’t you think maybe upgrading to a 350 would get you somewhere close to the same horsepower with the same money without beating your motor
What the fuck is with everyone deleting there air conditioning is there any way to turbo a 5.7 vortec with the A/C intact I need my air conditioning its something I can live without.

Hell my 350 tbi makes more power and its not even turbo charged lol
