Can’t wait for you to review the new R8 Just got to cast one, insanely smooth rod, incredible feel and accuracy in close , laser loops and high line speeds all the way out at long distances, this rod is a home run
That's a Fishpond Headgate Tippet Holder if you are talking about the small one, the other big red one is an SA product that we no longer sell, but here are some good options: redsflyfishing.com/pages/search-results-page?q=tippet%20holder
Do you still do the mend podcast? Been watching some old ones on UA-cam. Love the sage esn rod reel 10 ‘ 2 wt I bought from y’all. Hammering the wild bows here in Wv. Thanks!!

Thanks Andrew, really appreciate the nice words. That is the Fishpond Thunderhead Sling, totally great for salt. Here is a link to all of our Tropical Salt gear, big collection but it's a great starting point. In the video description there are some links to flies. redsflyfishing.com/collections/saltwater-tackle
They're 10 species of snook. World record 61 lb 8 oz! In 12 ft of water. Florida 20-30lbs is not uncommon! They can also coexist with largemouth bass. In Florida snook can be landlocked in freshwater ponds with tarpon! Zero mangroves!
0:36 the way that beauty practically hugs the bottom is all you need to see to know just how well-evolved snook are for the shallows.
Thanks! Snook gill plates are razor sharp!
Oh yes, I learned that the hard way on my first Snook trip.
This guy is good….real good! Love watching your videos👍
Thank you, very nice of you. Snook fishing is a blast.
I’ve never caught a Snook despite living here since the age of about 20 and I’m 56 now. Lol And, only live about 40 miles from Indian River Lagoon.
Appreciate those hook set tips! 💪💪🎣
You bet! Good luck out there!

Any chance of creating a video for redfish? It would be great if it was the same narrator
Oh thank you, YES, I hope to do a Redfish video this winter.

Good info, thank you for sharing. I can't imagine seeing a 60# Snook holy cow. I saw what we estimated as 30# one time and I about lost consciousness.
Just a tip: get a mic and put it on you so when you turn or if it’s windy we can still hear you clearly.
Yes, thank you. I just got one of those. Important for being in the big wind where I am so often fishing.
What about location?🤔
This was in Cuba Zapata, but Snook are Snook. Same flies, same basic gig.
Great info but u completely lost me when u said snook aren't a great fighting fish🥴snook are pound for pound one of the most powerful fish u can hook
You're not getting a world record with 40# tippet
For sure. yard 'em in.
You need to just advise people on trout fishing and not be "an advisor" with fly fishing for fish that you have no clue what you are talking about.
Ok, point these nice folks in the right direction for a good Snook 101 lesson. Would be curious to see what you come up with.
