Especially considering that Deathwing had the ability to torch anywhere at will and so far most other bosses have been confined to their 10 by 10 rooms.
Well, whatever would result would be a victory for the Old Gods. May Deathwing got eliminated but the Dragon Aspects, pretty powerful opponents against the Old Gods, are now out of the way.

I’m GMing a Starfinder game and you can have creatures big enough to count as spaceships but I’m going to push it further and have a Planet Sized dragon fight my party.
Every time I defeat him I come back to listen.
The music is epic while the raid is not.

No other game music in history holds a candle to this. Final Fantasy comes close but WoW just has hundreds of epic music files.

There are at least five of them, so it would be more like three. But C'Thun and Yogg'Saron were only defeated, not killed; killing them would destroy Azeroth, as stated in BaDitO2's comment.
That's not what actually happened. Notice he was able to CAST Cataclysm in the Madness of Deathwing fight, but not before? Normally, Deathwing would've died in the Spine of Deathwing fight but the Old Gods empowered him so he would be able to finish it all off.
@BaDitO2 Hour of Twilight means victory for the Old Gods. In this Hour the Old Gods will be released and it means death to all living

But Kil'Jaeden rated as a final boss in Burning Crusade like Arthas in WotLK, despite being at a fraction of his power, and ultimately still surviving his encounter with the Champoins of Azeroth. And according to Blizzard, he is PISSED.
4 years later, Kil'jaeden's been finally given a showdown with the heroes that thwarted his plans last time. I'd like to think he wasn't expecting them to just charge in after him onto his own ship or he'd set up a battle where he DOESN'T end up in the Twisting Nether.
yes as well as with the dragon aspects mortal and powerless there is nothing binding the old gods anymore. They are either free now or soon to be.
I agree, and we haven't seen the newest announced old god N'Zoth, so i guess there will be more of him in the later future.

Well it's not supposed to be pretty....
The elementium plates where the only things holding his twisted body together. When they were torn off, everything just sort of, well... Leaked out.
I know a lot of people hated the raid and especially the last two fights but IMO I think that it's one of the best boss kills, cinematically. More so (and I know I am going to a crap ton of hate for this) then the Lich King. LK lore wise was amazing but DW fight was way better.
I tjink the concept was cool and madness was great imo. Spine was wonky as hell. Again great idea but the implementation (or tech at the time) wasnt the best. Imagine if they made cataclysm in 2023 with current tools and wow design.

He was beginning to turn into a Forgotten One, that's all.
I was disinterested with the fight. Perhaps if Deathwing pulled everyone under the maelstrom and your had to swim across his tentacles and attack his head to pull you back up, thus throwing you back onto the platform and making Deathwing destroy a different one and pulling yours from the ground, making you have to jump to another.

The loss of Deathwing was indeed a big loss, but the Old Gods are not done yet. They still have Queen Azshara and the naga loyal to them. We will probably see Azhara and N'zoth in the expansion after Mists of Pandaria that puts more focus on the sea. It has been hinted at times that Azhsara is even more powerful and dangerous than Deathwing.
