Hickok45 videos are filmed on my own private shooting range and property by trained professionals for educational and entertainment purposes only, with emphasis on firearms safety and responsible gun ownership. We are NOT in the business of selling firearms or performing modifications on them. Do not attempt to copy at home anything you see in our videos. Firearms can be extremely dangerous if not used safely.
Back in the 60s Hickok45 and as you know, we would take our gun to school during hunting season to get a few hours in before dark. We NEVER heard of any school shootings or the violence with guns as we do today. So what is this saying? Might it be that our values and or government changed? We must look at these issues rather than the 2A. What pressures do kids have today that our generation didn’t? Thanks Kindly and Many Blessings! And for sharing that Lovely and Historical Rifle! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania
The parking lot of my High School had Hunting rifles and shotguns in the back window in a gun rack of several pickup trucks 🛻. No one thought anything about this or worried because no one thought of shooting a PERSON! This was the early’70’s in the NC mountains
Stop that just let’s us now how old we really are, and that we did have it better than they do now.
My best buddy and i would go duck hunting before class in high school,
We would go to his house, get cleaned up and head to school,,,,,,
Everyone in the school knew we had shotguns in our trucks in the lot, no one was concerned,
The teachers, principal would ask how we did,,,,,, that was back in 1986,,,,,
How things have changed,,,
This was in Guilford Ct,,
@@gregmastriano4194 those were great times I think those were the best times.
Even when I was in high school in the early 90's there were kids that would drive in and still have shotguns or rifles in the back of their trucks (depending on the season) but that was a rural area. Like others have said, nobody worried about things like that.
Good morning Hickok45 and folks.
Have a good week everyone.
Cheers
Happy Sunday, rest in peace Paul
He’s dead??????!?!?!?!?1
Paul Harrell was and still is awesome, you're pretty awesome yourself hickok, love your shoot-a-rounds.
You and Paul are the only gun channels I watch. Now it's down to just you. Such a loss......RIP.
Same boat as you partner, RIP to the legend.
During the covid thing I watched ALL of Paul Harrells videos and about 2/3rds of yours. I enjoyed Paul s outdoor Thanksgiving dinners for people who don't watch football. Great Guy!
just recently actually started watching hickok45 and I cant believe I have been missing out all these years.
Happy sunday!!!!! 🤠🤠🤠
Sunday
Good morning too you all!
Let's all have a Pop Tart in memory of our Friend Paul. RIP good warrior. .
Great show!😊 Just wanted to let you know that my husband and I have never met you but watch your videos every Sunday (and in between). I just wanted you to know that we understand how you feel about Paul. We have never met him and we feel the same way. We haven't met you before but, God forbid, we would feel the same way if something happened to you. I know that we have been enjoying your's and his videos for a long time and feel like we know you. So, that being said, we completely understand how you feel. Thank you for another Sunday shoot around! Life is good!❤
3 am here on the west coast. Time to make the doughnuts. Nope, time for some fun with Hickok 45.
Hahaha im in Philippines and ignoring balling my donuts 😂
I really appreciate your mentioning Paul Harrell when he passed away and today. I was unaware of him but after you spoke about him last week, I Googled him and I've been watching his videos as well. Thank you for bringing him to my attention. I will be watching both your videos and Paul's videos as long as I am able. Hopefully Paul's brother will be entertaining and informative too. I really enjoy your style and hope that you continue making your videos and enjoy good health for a very long time.
Good Morning Hickok. I’m going to watch the Sunday Shoot-a- Round and then go and clean my guns.
Now that Paul is in Heaven, many 64-ounce bottles of orange soda there are in BIG trouble!
😂😂 that's true
I have a similar one it says 1862 on the lock plate and a 1863 barrel. Never fired a projectile out of it. Nice to see one bark again
Another great Sunday video. Paul is amazing and inspirational. He will definitely be missed by many.
Just googled the Minie' ball. Wikipedia explained how devastating it was versus the round ball/smooth bore, and inflicting much more damage! Excellent video, as always.
A man is walking in the woods when he finds a suitcase.
He opens the suitcase and inside are three foxes. So he calls emergency services and says
"I just found three foxes in a suitcase. What should I do?"
"Well," the operator said, "Are they moving?"
"I don't know," he said, "But that would explain the suitcase."
lol that’s funny
Hickock you better watch being so quick to change caps on a muzzleloader those things are sometimes go off a few seconds later especially like that one you don't want that brother and I promise you
I later found out that you didn't have a cap on there I just seen the very start of it and deposit it said something like I said because been there for that before and were all humans
thank you for bringing out that gorgeous historical piece of FUNCTIONAL ART 🙌🤌 absolutely beautiful !!!!! great choice for Sunday shoot around 🤠
Good morning all, from Branson, MO. 😊
Sunday is talking and shooting Funday! Got my coffee, let's do this!
If, when we are forced to face the fact that “we just don’t know” when someone important to us (or we, ourselves) will have to leave us we need to take time to remember and be grateful for all they have given to and taught us. Paul will be missed, remembered, and respected for as long as we live.
Jack
PS: This morning’s Shoot-A-Round theme might well be “You just don’t know.”
Uuuuh, classy sunday everyone. Njoy (ing) (from from far a way....). thanks hick
Yea, when it comes to defending one's own home, it is best left unsaid. Thanks for the vid, Hickok, John.
Great day to join with you in Tennessee with the Black powder Freedom!!!!!!!!
Paul had a very unique style for sure. Definitely going to miss him.
ਬਹੁਤ ਵਧੀਆ ਜੀ
Great hearing Tucker mention watching Hickok45 in his interview with Dan Bongino in Tulsa.
First held a “mini” ball in my hand as a little kid visiting Shiloh. I could never understand why they called this heavy chunk of lead “mini”! Thanks for the pronunciation correction Hickok !
Agreed 100% that black powder and the fall/autumn just GO together. I never could put my finger on it, either.
Ya, I'm going to miss Paul Harrel. I've watched almost all of his videos. He will be greatly missed. I watch all your videos as well. Take Care and Be Safe.
Thank you, Hickok, for helping out on this bit of reality, this is the kind of communication America needs, just hope I do not hear AK-47 again on FOX tonight!
Good morning hickok and friends I hope you all have a great day
Be safe and God bless. Frank from Plymouth fla.

RIP Paul Harrell...
No cap, better than no powder. Don't ask me how I know.
Here in Florida in case of home invasion, etc., our sheriff tells us to 'call them to pick up the body', paraphrased. Thanks for sharing your wisdom and quips. ;o)
Happy Sunday from Kentucky
Look forward to every Sunday. Thank you sir. From triggerhappy
Love your videos ole boi. I was just in Tennessee beautiful place. Cheers and happy sunday 🎉
Happy Sonday!! Morning!
I realize it was a tribute to Paul, but after your new found healthy lifestyle and eating habits, I was a little surprised to see you enjoying a nice cigar👍
I’m enjoying one right now as I watch this video. 👍
We all need to have some enjoyment in our lives, or what’s the point? I think he’s been a cigar aficionado for some time.
Black powder is fun to shoot
Long live Hickok45
Good morning from North Georgia! Happy Shooting!❤❤
That is one cool rifle. Happy Sunday y’all.
A 2hr shoot around would be great..
I was given my first rifle at the age of 12. A Sears bolt action single shot. ( I still have it) I never thought of shooting anything but bunnies, rats, and pigeons! But I had real parents who taught me morals.
👍Thanks for the Sunday video.
Awesome!
We love your show!
Good morning Sir and Salute!!!👍👍👍❤️
Im about to eat, thank you for video😊
Thanks for the black powder demo.
Love the sign off.
We had bullies when I was young but never thought about taking lives!! In the parking lot of our high school all the trucks had rifles and or shotguns hanging in the back windows! It's this new woke mentality! We did have bullies but the bullies had bullies!! There were good bullies, the ones that stuck up for the under dog! Thank you and God Bless!!
Happy Sunday everyone!
I was puzzled by the smoke at the start of the video. I thought that was from a previous shot not caught on camera. Then I saw you fire a round from a muzzle loader without reloading. Thankfully, the cigar cleared things up.
What a sweet rifle.
Good morning
As always great review and yes caps help 😂
"Some incredible accuracy"... brought to you by Sunday Shoot-a-Round.
New video.less go!!
Many Civil War Springfields were converted into breech-loaders with the trap-door mechanism for use by the U.S. Cavalry in the West.
Beautiful 👍
Love the videos and always the commentary
Life is good 😊
I am a Kentucky resident although I am pretty far from the incident on I-75. I have two 5.56 Ak’s and a Cz75 ready to rock and roll
Good morning, I went to Friendship Indiana yesterday (because you mentioned this place) it is not fare away from where I live (Dayton OH). I am a bit sad this is the first time I went there all these years I have been living so close. I did not bring anything home (excepts some #10 Caps) but it was well worth the visit. I am looking to get a flint lock rifle, but did not find anyone that stood out and had a tag I could justify. I might end up building one, it is more satisfying shooting something you took part in making. I have a Hawken I built many-many years ago and love to shoot this rifle, this is a cap gun. Sorry for the rant here but just wanted to say thank you for letting us know about this place.
I tried a pair of those neckband/banded earplugs and they didn't work well for me. I'm from a place where it gets hot and humid too, so I understand why you'd rather wear those than electronic earmuffs, because earmuffs make me hot, make my ears sweat. etc. However, to protect my ears, I use electronic muffs and deal with the heat and sweat, and sometimes even double up with plugs.
I dislike the autumn season. Mainly because i know whats coming next.... (im up north. For now. May move to FL)
Also, because i like the heat. (I got used to sleeping in it in Jamaica, in May and June. No a/c. But still don't like sleeping in the heat)
Our loss is heavens gain.
My most favorite episode is still the one with the RDR2 guns on this channel, but that's just because I really love that era and the guns from it.
Have a nice Sunday !
Signed, a Dutch Cowboy. (no not the Dutch from the game hahaha) tho my last (sur) name is Van Der Linde... (for real !)
There are two kinds of muzzle loader shooters, those who have dry balled a rifle and those who are going to dry ball a rifle. Sooner or later everyone does it.
RIP Paul Harrell. Sad. Hes in better place now though!
Good morning Mr Hickok God bless you all ❤AMERICAN PATRIOTS 😅
I love the cigar touch for the shoot around!
How were the black powder rifles cleaned during the Civil War, knowing Balistol had not been created yet?
With water and cleaning patches. Oiled with whale oil.
Hickok u can't sleep it's like 5am
RIP Paul.
