Do you think drafting Ron Holland would be a no brainer if he fell to 17th? And do you think the Lakers should take "the best player available" no matter what? Comment down below!

If they keep the pick and stay where they are. Picking the best available or most ready to contribute day 1 player should be the only 2 choices to be made
Lakers picking JHS over Whitmore was their biggest miss since picking Lonzo Ball over DeAaron Fox😢 Count on them to do something stupid again.
Way too early to say that, but I would agree they (along with others) overlooked Whitmore.
100 💯 PERCENT REAL TALK
Lonzo over Tatum, and Ingram over Brown out of the same state to he went to Cal how can you miss that
Lonzo over Tatum is the biggest miss. Lakers could have Tatum and Brown right now.
@@kennguyen8038 In a general sense, yes. From a positional sense, PG vs PG, I say Fox is a bigger miss. Think about our current team with DeAaron Fox at PG playing with Bron and AD. That could be a Chip team.
If hes there then its a no brainer. He has best player in the draft potential
Dejounte Murray / Chris Paul
Austin Reaves / Loonie Walker
LeBron James / Taurean Prince
Anthony Davis / Jarred Vanderbilt
Andre Drummond / Kel’Le Ware
Bronny James / Christian Wood
Max Christie
how bout this lineup?
Best player available is the lesson.
Be aggressive and trade up if it’s your guy to begin with.
Edey, Klingen or maybe Reddick feels some kinda way about Filipowski in a move back scenario
Moving back to 24-29 intrigues me. There should be a good prospect that falls to that range, plus the Lakers could get another pick with it or maybe a role player.
The question mark always make me take back my smile
With Rob and JJ? No. These guys prioritize attitude, personality, work ethic, and basketball IQ over just pure athleticism and scoring alone which is why last season, they didn’t even bat an eye to Whitmore. I dont think it’ll change now
We should take Ware or Da Silva!!!
Unfortunately he not dropping to 17. Lakers have to trade up to get him .
Adem Bona is the guy to get! With the big from Marquette in round 2.
i think lakers should take a fly for tyler smith the dude is 6'11 forward with shooting rui replacement with size he has a lot of upside
I think the Lakers should trade back in the draft from #17. They can trade with the Knicks who have 24 & 25 or trade with the Bucks who have 23 & 33. And with either trade, id try and get D.Holmes and R.Dunn. 2 great role players who can produce for the lakers and will for sure get playing time
Big fan of Holmes and Dunn
24% for 3-pointers
Lakers should draft him,it's a gamble. If they can somehow fix his jumper then he will become a solid rotation player or even a starter.Jalen Brown came to the league with poor shooting from 3.Can't teach good size and athleticism.Train with Phil Handy and a shooting coach.
He’s a taller JalenGreen less skilled maybe a better defender. But he’s potential is high
Ron Holland seems to be a good prospect.. but.. the Lakers should prioritize getting Zach Edey over anyone else in the first round. He's a talent that you can't pass up.
Me personally I believe that the Lakers should trade for Dalton Knecht because he could fit in as a shooter off the bench for Austin Reaves or he could start by moving Reaves to PG. He is 23yrs old so he could come into the NBA and make an impact for the Lakers from the get go.
You called it bruh.😮
They are drafting Bronny, They have to if they want to keep LaBron in a Lakers uniform. Im cool with, It will be historical.
Hopefully, the Lakers can find a way to trade up in the draft. This will give them the opportunity to draft better talent. It would be great to get Holland, but I'm sure the Lakers have someone in mind if they choose to stay where they are 🤔🤔 By the way, any draft targets for the second round?
Or... Just hear me out here. We could have drafted Cam Whitmore instead JHS
Coulda, woulda, shoulda. It’s good to learn from your mistakes, but never dwell on them. Let’s see if the Lakers learn during the upcoming draft.
nah jhs cant show case or build confidence with his 2mins a game played thats ham faulth we have a new coach hopefully he plays rookie a decent amount of mins
fault
They gonna pass on this opportunity again
Deep breath
Center
I've said this before, Whitmore looks great BECAUSE he isn't on the Lakers. If the Lakers had picked him, he wouldn't have been playing any meaningful minutes with Darvin Ham as coach. Look at Christie for reference. With Ham gone now, hopefully the younger guys will get some good minutes in.
Like holmes for a big man but if holland is available a no Brainer. ....still like lewis, castleton. Schofino. ...let them develop
It will be a stale ? 🤫
No way he falls to 17.
Damn... Bronny James has a better 3PT% than this guy.
Edney over Holland all day
New Offense 1st Mentality head coach J.J. Redick forces the Lakers to need 2 versatile 3-point shooter to execute his Playbook X's & O's:
Johnny Furphy from the University of Kansas Jayhawks at #17
??? at #55
Can't shoot, plays good defense sound like Vando ?
Holland “can shoot”, he’s just not efficient yet. Vando entered the league basically without a jumpshot entirely. Holland can also create his own shot and get to the rim nearly at will. Very different players. Only similarity is being somewhat limited as an off ball player in an NBA offense.
Good defense is what the Lakers need. They couldn't stop any team from scoring more than 115 points in most games. Shooting isn't everything. Play defense, stop opposition from scoring!!
Lebron makes TERRIBLE DRAFT PICKS every Year🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️😡😡😡😡😡
Well LeBron will be gone soon. He don't have many years left to play.
