After you've mad the caramel mixture, cool it to room temp, put that room temp mixture in your stand mixer with your butter (also at room temp) and beat with the paddle attachment for a few mins, that's it!

I substituted cane sugar for brown sugar and did the 1-2-3 trick, 1 cup butter, 2 cups sugar 3 cups flour. I used lite cream instead of buttermilk.. and I used dulce le leche. This was my first time making a cake and I am very happy with my judgement and your video. Cake came out great. I was afraid of it being too sweet so I’m happy I chose lite brown sugar and do away with the 1/2 cup. Next time I’ll do your frosting. It looks sooooooo good. Thank you for igniting a new baking world!

It IS pretty. I make a pretty good caramel cake but this looks great!!! Gonna try your way. My frosting is much thicker and harder. Like candy sort of.

THE FROSTING IS THE BEST PART. I PRETTY MUCH MAKE THIS CAKE EVERY TWO WEEKS FOR SO MANY PEOPLE.
