Most under-appreciated band ever. First heard them on Killing technology and have loved them since. Amazing band with a unique sound in a sea of crap that all sounds the same.
Just effing love this band! I had my first dose with Hatröss back in the day and they still deliver! My highest gratitude to Dan for keeping this freakshow alive!
how excellent to see bands in an intimate setting...fed up with all those festivals,with barriers aboout 20 feet from the stage...Voivod are amazing
This is exactly how I saw them years ago, and to this day the best live show ever. I had never heard any of their material prior; went in blind. HOLE-EEE-CRAP I was not prepared.
This is so awsome! One week they play for 60000 people, next week for 300. I saw them in such a small venue and they (and I) enjoyed every single minute of it.

I saw these guys with Napalm Death and Municipal Waste at White Oak Ballroom in Houston. I was on the barricade for their set. Very intimate. At 53 I love Voivod.
Why not at 73? 93? Voivod is timeless. Cheers.

Man I used to have a “ set list “ from damn I can’t remember what tour but late 80’s or early 90’s from the Metro in Chicago. I was front row and after the show they were tearing down the stage and I asked the guy could I have that set list taped to the floor monitor. He grabbed it and gave it to me. The entire thing was wrote in that exact font you see the VOIVOD banner in. Just like on the back of the album too. So whoever writes everything wrote that set list. Tragically crazy story but came home one day and my dads friend whe we were letting stay with us took all my posters everything off my bedroom walls. Signed Black Sabbath poster , all my concert shit. Said it was a bad influence on their daughter who was also staying with us. She put it all in a box in our attic and I never seen any of it again.

Voivod is the name of Count Dracula's home village. At least that's what he told me. But vampires are prone to bullcrap. I kind of don't even believe that guy was really Dracula. He combusted well enough in the sunlight, though. BURN LIKE YOUR "VILLAGE," DEMON! VOIVOD IS THE KICK ASSEST OF ALL THE INTRADIMENSIONAL SONIC COOPERATIVES!!!! Guh!
Mongrain lost his sound on Tribal Convictions and did it like a pro. Such an amazing, professional and underrated guitarist. #chewy
Totally agree. Were this just an audio clip of the band I'd never know it wasn't Piggy (RIP) and Blacky up on that stage. They really nailed it and it's a testament to their love for the band. Well done!

Now studio.is a different story.things are more polished. Take danzig for instance my opinion danzigs voice is mot always good live in some areas its actually bad but still i appreciate him because i know his studio work.
Voivod records are not for all i get it
But they are for us who get what they are doing.and love it.
So when we see them live we get it the age factor annnnnd the wear and tear to the throat.
In fact i never listen to their live stuff always studio work.
And there we see our favorite band.
They are definitely …………………not for all.
