Only shrimpers wear those rubber boots on the Gulf coast of Texas. Whatever town where shrimpers live, we call them dancing boots. All jokes aside, they're a lot cooler than black rubber boots when the sun beats down on your feet
Especially in the summer heat of 110 when I get a day time turn!

I liked to two pulley set up. That really gives you the mechanical advantage. So often you can hear the winches straining to pull, yours just pulled smooth as silk!! Great video Casey. Always a pleasure!🚙

Hi Casey. Has anyone ever suggested that you get yourself a pair of fisherman's waders? It would keep your whole bottom half dry and a lot less cold.

Nice boots....and a nice rigging job. Should use a winch cable dampener though. Or switch to synthetic rope. So instead of simply fording the river, the driver decided to drive up the river ?? With zero knowledge of the river bottom. Duh !!!???
I don't generally use dampers when I likely should. I also keep my recovery scene's free of people and unnecessary looky loos!

A simple way to increase your SAFETY when using a winch: cover/wrap part(s) of the cable in a piece of heavy carpet.

Your white boots were actually one the most impressive thing I've seen in ANY off-road recovery video, in a very long time! A lot of people you see are usually heading-out in the elements with no jackets, gloves or appropriate footwear. To have something like that in your recovery vehicle at all times is a really good idea! You know what they say: "It is far better to have something and not need it, then to need something and not have it". Thanks for sharing your content! 👊
After 2 decades doing recovery and years doing Search and Rescue being prepared is always a top priority. Thanks for the comment.

As long as the hooking points are strong the 3 cable reduction allows for minimal stress on the cable relative to the work it can accomplish. Sure, blankets or floor mats thrown over all three cables would be ideal in a perfect utopia world but keep in mind he had everyone stand well back out of the danger zone area so no one was at risk.
I like the white boots to . They fit better than the green or black ones.
Casey this was a fun video I will give the guy credit when he gets stuck he does it right. I am going to assume there was people who didn't want to be on camera.

I did not ask them, but they had kids there, and my opinion is not everything is for public consumption. Those Warn Winches get the job done everytime!

sand and water makes for a quick sink. it was probably only a few of water till they spun the wheels just a few time and they are on the frame. then those few inches of water get real deep quick. its also a real a fun time when your tied up in the bottom of a wash while its raining
