In this motovlog, we ride the scenic coastal highway after descending Agumbe ghats. We stop for a snack break along the way, and make light, literally, of Joe’s well-stocked top box that also serves as our group’s pantry. The highlight of this ride though was a brief halt at breathtaking Maravanthe Beach, just past Kundapur town. Hop on for the ride, hope you enjoy this one.

Loved the fun you had when eating the snacks out from Mr Joseph's lunch box (which was also useful considering our Swach Bharat Abhiyaan). The ride looks simply awesome. Meandering through the ghats on those twisties, and Maravanthe as always beautiful.

Good morning dear Kripal- This definitely going to be one of the spectacular motovlogs in terms of the much awaited ride across the coastal stretch 👍 Happy that the road conditions which pictorially appears to be a tad patchy at times but you mentioned that it’s ideal for the Fat Boy 👍Joe’s bag is full of goodies - Chikki , Ladoo , Beverages, Nuts , Tang , ORS 👍👍😀😀😀 Ok Finally lunch has been locked at Kwality hotel in Bhatkal after a brief deliberation with your buddies 👍 I recollect that Vlog and true that - This has been my mantra in life - When you aspire for certain things with passion - The Universe would conspire to enable you achieve it 👍 Wow - Now that’s a beautiful view indeed of the back-waters 👌 The sky is so blue and the view is pristine 👌 What a good place to do a quick pit-stop at the truly wonderful Marvanthe Beach 🏝. Ok so now we have entered North Canara. One is the performance of the Fat Boy and second credit should go to the rider for taking care of the Fat Boy so well as if it’s a baby 😀 What a fab way to end the Vlog with a small snap of the Kwality hotel and Joe’s expression of relief from the heat due to the A/C provided by KH 😀 Thoroughly enjoyed this moto Vlog 👍👍 By the way the Egg-Wrap turned out to be decent ( this morning for breakfast ) . Kripal Sir. I visited some of the famous Restaurants & Food Joints in Mumbai City. I have seen most of the Quality of food has become poor after Pandemic. Hence it don't feel to visit Restaurants. I feel home is good.
This turned out to be my favourite vlog. My dads native place , my moms and my inlaws native all covered in this stretch.

Dear Kripal,
You should consider getting a set of ND filters for the go pro camera, if you haven't already.
Especially during the summer, when it's a bright sunny day, the camera struggles to expose the image.
Thus affecting the shutter speed and sharpness of the image.
Some of us watch your videos on a big screen.
Perhaps your motovlogs can look more cinematic with a few easy tweaks.
Regardless, our family loves watching all your videos. I personally love your motovlogs.

Hi Jayanth, happy you and your family enjoy our work. Yes, you are right that the GoPro sometimes struggles in harsh sunlight, although it works like a charm most times. Have considered Nd filters but have wondered whether they might slip off whilst riding. Haven’t seen motovloggers using it.

Hi Kripal, good to see some friendly banter. I was so hoping you'd stop by Marvanthe Beach, thanks for that. One can't resist a stop at Marvanthe and some tender coconut water there. Have seen that road develop over the years, as you said, it used to be just a two-lane, two-way road as if cutting through the water. Amazing scenery.
Just a recommendation, can you add a few more cameras? One facing towards you and one on the back, overhead, facing the front. It can enhance our experience as if we're on the road. Kindly consider it.
Yes, Sivon, a stop at Maravanthe when on the route is a must. Appreciate your perspective on additional cameras, here’s mine. More cameras, in addition to adding to post production efforts, would also necessitate one to focus more on handling the cameras while on and would take away the spontaneity of the vlogs, and also perhaps my enjoyment of the ride to a certain extent. I ride because I love to ride, and making a vlog to share with those interested is an output of the same. Having said this, I believe the vlogs will evolve like everything else and who knows… 🙂 Hope you appreciate my point of view. Cheers!

Hi Kripal, have been enjoying your videos for sometime now and this Vlog brings back memories especially of the stretch yours buddies and you are riding through. My grandfather grew up in Gangoli, a village near Kundapura and he would tell us how he would have to travel to school in Kundapura crossing rivers by ferry/boats as there were no bridges constructed back in the day. Not been to that part for a long time and watching you guys has inspired me to drive through this stretch from Bangalore the next time I’m in town. Keep up the great work in showcasing these parts of our country 😊, enjoy your ride, great food and safe travels 😊

Didn't keep track of overall spend, Manjunatha, most spends were on stay and food, which you will find in the respective vlogs. As for spends on fuel, our motorcycles give us an average of 20 to 25 kmpl.

Hi Mahesh, my choice in music is rather eclectic, from oldies, jazz, 80's, 90's rock and pop, to current chart busters. I like what sounds good to my ears, all genres included. When I am riding, I usually prefer listening to something a bit upbeat and peppy.

I wonder how to get motorcycle buddies ? I come from small town there is no motorcycle culture. I ride solo. But sometimes I wish I could have moto buddies. Though I have friends but they don't ride.
I can understand, perhaps you will find motorcycling buddies along the way. Solo rides can be great too. Did a 200km solo yesterday and a 120 km solo today.

I hope you had an outlier of a good experience. I am from Bhatkal and the only thing we ever order from Kwality are the parottas.
Like I said before, an authentic Bhatkally biryani experience is to be had only from what local caterers (bhandarees) make at weddings. Also I hope you checked out the beaches in Bhatkal. Very clean and serene. Next time you all ride through, I hope you accept our invitation to stay a couple of days to see the sights and experience the food. :)
