Mahatma Gandhi was my role model from childhood, his simple city, his kind heart, his saintly personality attracted me alot. But at the same time, it was surprising a human could posses such divine qualities. After meeting you, seeing you with close contact in LTP and in retreats I found, such saints which Lord Krishna explained would be existed. As this golden words come from the lotus mouth of Lord Krishna and you, my life is in service to give pleasure to God and Guru, if these divine qualities in humans pleases God, then it becomes my duty to follow. A devotee should see all as parts of God without any malice towards any living being .The person should be equipoised towards comforts and troubles , joys and sorrows . Should love others , be compassionate , kind and helping others . The person should devout himself in body , mind , and soul to unselfish , loving devotion to God . He should be free from all attachments , but should be a soft hearted person to be ready to stand by the needy .God loves such detached , equipoised devotees as His dearest ones .

Many people say God is dear to me. Here these verses of Bhagavad Geetha gives various parameters to check whether we are dear to God. This also is a method to check our spiritual progress
If we can free ourselves from malice towards those who have hurt us, if we are compassionate and friendly to others, if we are free from attachments but at the same time responsible, then we are making some progress in this path.
A devotee should see all as parts of God without any malice towards any living being .The person should be equipoised towards comforts and troubles , joys and sorrows . Should love others , be compassionate , kind and helping others . The person should devout himself in body , mind , and soul to unselfish , loving devotion to God . He should be free from all attachments , but should be a soft hearted person to be ready to stand by the needy .God loves such detached , equipoised devotees as His dearest ones .
