I know a retired GMH engineer that had been given the task of designing the interior for the prototype of the first model 4 door Monaro. After convincing the GMH executives that it was a viable option, the 4 doors were produced The prototype was later sold to a dealer who then on sold it ... later to be partially destroyed in a fire. The dealer seemed to have lacked the foresight that prototypes are valuable..
