They earn a lot from skins but where is all these money going, ML gives more faster updates and new features than other games also let's not forget the prize pool of MLBB tourneys, this year's MLBB MSC prizepool is 3 million dollars.... that's even more than League of Legends (PC not Wild Rift) 2023 Worlds prizepool which was 2 million dollars.

The main difference here is Mai in Honor of Kings is a free hero you can get from the occasionally returning SNK event, she has been in the game for a long time even before MLBB even does collab events with King of Fighters. Hence why you can see her skill effect is pretty basic, since she is that old, granted since she is a permanent hero they seemed to remaster her once in a while since back then I don't think her models look as good. Mai Shiranui does have her own skins tho, and just like a lot of Epic and higher tier Honor of King skins it looks incredible. Especially her Blessed tier skin. Also fun fact, due to her being a pretty old addition to Honor Of Kings, in AOV her skill is ported to be used by the hero Raz. In AOV you can see some pre-rework Honor of Kings character skills such as Butterfly having the old abilities of the Hero A Ke (She's still in CN version only tho). Ironically Butterfly is now in HoK global, so they pretty much bring in a hero with a skill from another hero that got reworked which is a bit ironic.
Mai HOK is a hero and have her own skins too. 😂 Plus look the 5 year old animation intro and in-game visual is still better than the expensive but half-bake effect of Masha Mai skin 😂
