I really love, your channel. I'm sorry, that I did not, subscribed to others. But I can't keep up, I found you, years ago. My brother thought me about building models when I was 13 yeaŕs, years old, I'm now 60 years old, an my brother, is 69 years, old. What you with lighting, an so much more. Continue your, great work. Michael Ottawa, Ontario.
I know you built this a year ago Lou. I just kind of stumbled across this build. It looks fantastic. I love it, especially because I'm a huge Star Trek fan myself. Great work sir!
Love it when you go full out with the lighting etc. The excitement it your voice! For what its worth - I think this looks friggin' amazing but the green floor lights might be a "bit" to intense as at least on camera they take over the cabin. Cosmic Scale Models kills it again!
Maybe add a little yellow to Satin Brick.....or even try a Burnt Umber fine coat to add some depth to the hull.......Awesome work as Always Uncle Lou........
Lou your an artist ,I was never a fan of the ferengi shuttle but that kit is just a beauty. Love watching your videos I always learn something new with every model no matter what the subject matter is.
ABSOLUTELY fantastic 3D build quality! Never seen better. You should have LOTS of fun with that one.....rather than fighting defects, and revolving production problems. Enjoy this one, Lou! 👍
That is a spectacular model-- just a hint of "3D" things to come and the promise of -- hmmm... well, "garage kit" doesn't seem quite right... uhhh... cyber kit, 3-D kit, resin kit, home kit. Dunno. But the excitement and new is upon us. Very nice to see. As for you-- well, given a kit that size it's no wonder you lit everything you could. There's plenty of room. Interesting that hull color and all that strange set interior fooling around. I think there may have been only Quark's ship we got to know? Maybe another one but not much of that. Interesting, nonetheless. Great stuff, Lou.
Quarks Ship was only used in one episode “Little Green Men” where they took Nog to the Academy and went back in time crashing at Roswell AFB !! Thats it!!
Wow, not a ship you would likely see a kit for. And an impressive one at that. The lighting turned out great. Nice to have a big window so all that detail doesn't get lost. It's a wacky design but fits the Ferengi tech style.
Lou, I always LOVE the variety of kits you build. A dream project of mine is the “cheeseburger” UFOs from Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind. Would love to see some CEOT3K subjects on your bench.
We shall see next week what you want to do for a final hull colour but honestly in my mind, I thought the “Satin Terracotta” actually looked closer than the “Brick” tone did. However, this is your model and whatever you choose will be more than fine.
Great build Lou, I find it amazing how well these modern printed kits are improving. Its good to see you really enjoying this one. Loved the Bob Ross moment with the hull colors. This will be a winner at Wonderfest, I feel it in da Schwartz................
When we say a thing is a gem, we usually mean something small, so I'll call that a kohinoor. Seems to have modern Tamiya level fit and the absence of build li n es b is... what's the opposite of frustrating? You got a whole lot done and look like a very happy man. Speaks well for the kit.
@@richardstiers9010 Sure. I used it on my Enterprise Cutaway. I used it on the seams on the 4 saucer sections and secondary hull. I built it as a one piece. I used the CA glue first, then the JB Weld, I sanded the outside areas smooth and left it thick on the unseen insides. And finished it up with Bondo. You can see my build on my channel here on UA-cam. 🙂
Lou, just a thought. Consider viewing my posts on the 2001 sites. Regarding using 'in line' mini potentometers. They allow you to regulate specific circuits brightness. Using a small screwdriver, You can dim or brighten, those green banks, and balance the overall light.
Awesome work. Im building the 1/72 atm Get exactly the same just smaller and the quality is just as good , Iv only dry fit the engine area so far but dont seem to have any fit issue like yours, Iv gone away from the grey floor in "Little Green Men" when Nog walks back into the cabin it looks like its a orangey brown carpet so im flocking mine. Im loving what your doing with the Interior colours
If you really wanted to add some practicality to the interior you could build some bunks on between the two arches just before the rear door to fill up some of that space.
Nice to see something different in the Star Trek universe besides Federation starships! The lighting is incredible, and the size and scope of the spaceship are impressive!
Quarks Treasure was only used in ONE DS9 episode!!!! Little Green Men. The other Ferengi shuttles you have seen are smaller ships used once one STNG and one episode of Voyager!!
Starfleet Academy's motto is "Ex astris, scientia" - "From the stars, knowledge." This is derived from the Apollo 13 motto "Ex luna, scientia" - "From the moon, knowledge."
DS9 stuff is hard to find. Especially quality kits. Great build. I really wish DS9 would get the respect it deserves. AMT will never build kits for ds9 and its a crying shame. The show ages very well and has much more heart than any other sci-fi show by a huge margin. Just too bad. I heard a story about production I'm not sure if it's true but there was a shot where a light fixture spun around in the background. The continuity person walked in and saw it... she almost fainted seeing that her day was going to be spent tracking that light fixture. So one of the actors saw her and saw her dilemma. She didn't feel right telling the set Dec person they couldn't do it so the actor went over to the director who was setting up a shot with the dp. The actor pointed to the continuity woman and told him about it. He immediately let the actor in on the practical joke they were playing on her. The spinning fixture was being turned by hand and it was never going to turn for the filming. The whole thing was a joke to mark her 1 year anniversary with production. They had a little get together at the end of shooting for her and a few other people that joined during that time..... must have been a fun place to work.
well looks good and yes two fast food stuff come mind its ribs are cooking down stares one yes mic dees and other some say it the crusy crab hek you change out a bit bet you can do a crusty crab LOL to nest vid and yes to master of lights to great stuf
Very entertaining video ! Thanks for sharing all of your hard work 🙏
Your videos are a natural antidepressant. Grateful for you.
Agreed. 😂
Ahh the 52 rule of acquisition . One must buy DS9 models as and when they become available. Looking good.
Love the Tupperware on your desk.
60 years old and going strong
@Lou Dalmaso great videos easy to watch and understand the build.

Excellent job. Like to see what you'd do with a Ultraman kit. Building dioramas❤
I know you built this a year ago Lou. I just kind of stumbled across this build. It looks fantastic. I love it, especially because I'm a huge Star Trek fan myself. Great work sir!
Very cool ship! I like the way you're doing the interior. coloring, textures, etc. Looking forward to seeing the completed model. Nice Work! L.

Buying my own now! Also, cannot wait till the next 1/1000 Enterprise D build! We have learned so much from all of your builds!
a bit of post highlighting will do wonders for that brick. that ceiling came out fantastic.
Can't wait to see it at Wonderfest
Nothing better than a model that is unique and scaled up. Bravo! PS. Nothing better than green light my favorite color.
Wow! Amazing. Ferrengi ship color always looked like standard 'red' primer, with some lighter fading over it...
Beautiful work, very satisfying to watch. Just found your channel and I'm looking forward to watching the rest of your videos.
Maybe add a little yellow to Satin Brick.....or even try a Burnt Umber fine coat to add some depth to the hull.......Awesome work as Always Uncle Lou........
Just great to see Cosmic models doing such a brilliant quality 3D print. First 3D printed kit I’ve seen so smooth. As always you’re doing a class job.
Lou your an artist ,I was never a fan of the ferengi shuttle but that kit is just a beauty. Love watching your videos I always learn something new with every model no matter what the subject matter is.
Fantastic build! Looking at the exterior color I couldn't get the "Crusty Crab" out of my head. You really nailed the lighting.
Looking really good! Look forward to the next part.!

This build will look fantastic, I think Cozmic Scale Models has made a Ferengi embalme base.
Awesome work Lou! I've been wanting this kit and now I shall have!
Ambitious build. Looks great so far. Really love the lighting and colour choices.
When we say a thing is a gem, we usually mean something small, so I'll call that a kohinoor.

I sort of guessed this was what you were going to build Lou Keith's done a brilliant job with this kit
Hey Lou!
I've had good luck with the combination of JB Weld, Super Glue, and Bondo.
The JB Weld really helps.🙂
Can you explain this comment a bit? What are you applying it to?
@@richardstiers9010
Sure.

Good work.
The kit looks great so far! It’ll be a nice addition to the collection!
Looks great so far. Seems like the green lights of the side console could use some fiber fill to tone the brightness down just a touch.
WOW!!!! Looks amazing!!

yes, I've got some of those and will try one out before i seal anything up.

I'm taking any excuse to not paint oranges or browns, because there are so many similar colors
I like the Terracotta , I thought the ships were a darker flat orangey color though.
If you really wanted to add some practicality to the interior you could build some bunks on between the two arches just before the rear door to fill up some of that space.
i think the green could use some defusing just so green does not appear to be the dominant color
Nice to see something different in the Star Trek universe besides Federation starships! The lighting is incredible, and the size and scope of the spaceship are impressive!
It was only used in one DS 9 episode “Little Green Men” it was sold for scrap after to pay Quarks passage back to zDS9
Looks fantastic Lou! May be the camera, but the green lights look a little over powering!
they are pungent
The "X" you need to solve for is.... better phrase for positivity.
Have you ever looked into the Just plug system from Woodland Scenics they make adding lighting to models without the need for soldering?
i'll look into it, thanks!
Quarks Treasure was only used in ONE DS9 episode!!!! Little Green Men. The other Ferengi shuttles you have seen are smaller ships used once one STNG and one episode of Voyager!!
Great kit how much is it u done a superve job on it
It's expensive, but there is a 1/72 scale version that is more affordable.
Starfleet Academy's motto is "Ex astris, scientia" - "From the stars, knowledge."
This is derived from the Apollo 13 motto "Ex luna, scientia" - "From the moon, knowledge."
easy for YOU to say :) Latin is not my first language
I think the color you are looking for is "Salmon" for the main body color?
Salmon, Coral, something aquatic for sure

That must have cost you a lot of Gold Pressed Latinum! 😉
I still can't get passed the design which looks like a giant tick.
that was probably the idea, given the Ferengi culture
Do they make a smaller version that detailed?
Yes. There is a 1/72 scale model. It has all the same details. It's half the size.
I thought you were going to try to save space on your shelves? LOL
I know, right? sometimes you just have to make room
What's that website?
