Well that is good, I think that your meds might have caused the blood vessels in your hands to vasodialate, which basically reversed the effects of restriction of bloodflow in your fingers.

Mine aren't like that but my palms get splotchy and start burning, and not in cold water, it just randomly happens any time I'm in water that isn't very hot. I mean my whole body though, my palms only do this if my entire body is soaked from a shower, rain or swimming. Like I sometimes have warm showers (I have skin conditions that make heat unbearable for me) and my hands would start burning when wet. And then at least one time when swimming in a stream, the water was kinda cool but not cold cold, and it was July in the middle of the desert. And once, again in July, during a monsoon rain when I was caught walking with my friend and our clothes were soaked, and it made my hands splotchy and start burning. I always have to rub the together really hard to make the burning go away. It hasn't happened in years now though.

I was working outside in the cold had gloves on but my hands still froze. Came in and applied hot water and it hurt so bad. What happens is the cold restricts the blood flow turning the fingers white and if not taken care of can turn the fingers black which is frost bite and is not good. When you warm your hands up the blood rushes back through the vines and it hurts so bad. It feels like a bunch of knives pocking you rapidly.

I don’t know if I had this or not. In the first fall/winter after my TBI (coma included-not induced)I was out without gloves on one of those days where they might be necessary, might not. Even though I had pockets, my hands got painfully cold. After that, whenever my hands got cold they hurt and got cold more easily than the rest of me. Even in short sleeves and shorts, I had to have a pair of thin gloves ( the one-size stretchy ones) with me in case I needed them.
Now, later in life, I’ve made a point to try to reduce my sugar intake and get proper nutrition. I very rarely have my fingers get cold enough to hurt-even in temperatures that I know would have been a problem back then
